Virtually every politician has a messiah complex, to include every politician you have ever voted for, and every politician you have ever held in a high regard. Why do you think they run?...because they are the ones that are going to save us from (fill in the blank).

The question is, which politician aligns most with your morals and values in both word and deed.

For me, that person is TED CRUZ...by far.

Trump/Rubio 2016

That'll take you across the finish line for sure.

Can you tell me where his (Trump’s) poll numbers went down? In Iowa, Cruz rose to above Trump, Trump’s did not go down, though that does not appear to be the case now, it’s virtually tied or Trump up within MOE. The next two primary states after Iowa Trump is up 10 points or more...I still don’t know where his numbers dropped, unless Ted’s referring to states where Trump’s numbers dropped from 25 points up to 20 points up.

Cruz is not perfect but he is the most conservative candidate in a generation and yet some conservatives won’t have him because he is not liked by the criminals in Washington, the very same vichy Republicans these same conservatives loath in Washington. They won’t have him because he isn’t conservative enough. They won’t have him because of his wife’s employer. They won’t have him because they buy the line he isn’t electable.

It’s easy to see why we keep getting liberal mush heads
like McStain and Romney. Conservatives keep shooting themselves in the foot. The only difference this time around is Trump, otherwise it would Little Jebbie or the Rube winning the nomination for those who hate Cruz...

So now we bash Cruz because he isn’t liked by the GOP establishment, is that what’s being claimed here???

And that if he was a really good politician he would unit the GOPe and conservatives - is that it really?

It is a badge of honor that Pete King and the rest of the GOPe hate him.

You Trump supporters have really gone off the deep end.

I don’t think Reagan, W, McCain and or Romney had a “messiah” complex...Obama did/does...but not the others. They may be confident and impressed with themselves, but not a Messiah complex...

Sadly, Average Joe doesn't realize that any affiliation with Goldman is a reflection of being an insider as GS is the headquarters for those who mock Christians, gun-owners, Southerners and all others who didn't go to the Ivy League. He's just as condescending (with that I'm-Smarter-Than-You-Are Grandpa Munster) smile, phony elitist "patient" look when "listening with his heart" to the audience, and scheming eyes. What a hypocrite and opportunist. He's as bad as Hillary!

I may have no choice but to vote for that creep but this will be the first time that I will ever have felt sleazy voting for a Republican--and I voted for Nixon, which is really saying a lot!

Liberals HATE Cruz. They seem to want to help conservatives understand why he is so dangerous. The hatred of liberals is a great endorsement.

Cruz is the best candidate in the race.

I can support Trump, if he doesn’t move to the left in the general.

Would be very happy with Trump-Cruz ticket.

So, Freepers are now lapping up what Jennifer Rubin and Mike Lupica have to say while bashing Mark Levin?

Politico has become the go to source for Freeper Cruz supporters. It's also a primary outlet for the GOPe message. No coincidence.

There was a time when members on Free Republic would post articles by NYDN, Salon, Slate, Huffington Post, NYT etc. so as to ridule, rip, debunk, discredit, and expose.

Now they’re posting them to bash the one true conservative in the race.

“Oh, how the mighty heroes have fallen!”

No, Trump defending Hillary AFTER Benghazi and people on FR still supporting him shows we have lots of magnanimous people.

Mike Lupica is apparently a liberal first, and a sports writer second.

The former must have got him a non-sports soapbox.

Mike Lupica? When you scrape the bottom of the barrel you don’t find Mike Lupics. You have to turn the barrel over, find the stone under it and look under that for Mike Lupica.

They want Cruz over at Politico because they know he can be beaten.

How sad for us.

Sorry, I know lots of people in the political biz, from staffers, to consultants, to direct mail guys, etc. and they all say the same thing: virtually all politicians have an infallibility/messiah complex, no matter which side of the political aisle they are on.
