Probably so. I don't think Cruz could win a single purple or blue state in the general election. Trump has a good shot at several of them.
You're focused on the WRONG end of the paradigm.
Your concern should be that we PREVENT the Iranians and ISIS from detonating a nuclear device on American soil.

Maybe they're simply coming out for what they really are...like Trump is trying to show himself as something he's not.

I can’t shake the feeling that Cruz is connected to the Bushes. I think Cruz is a surrogate for JEB in case JEB loses. The Bush family has been involved in politics for many years and have great resources behind them. With all of their political experience they surely did polls on JEB before he was entered as a candidate. The polls showed JEB as a loser with no appeal. Seeing that they had a real problem on their hands the Bush family set out to do what they could to get Jebito elected. They arranged for many candidates to split the conservative vote and did some other finagling (see the conservative treehouse).
So I believe that the Bushes realized that they may not even get JEB elected so they needed a surrogate just in case. That surrogate would have to be someone who would be like candy to the conservatives. He would come out into the sunlight like Gary Cooper in *High Noon*. He would be a brilliant speaker that no conservative could resist. He would tell them what they wanted to hear but he would be kind of vague when it came to immigration and trade deals which are what the establishment is really interested in. Get the picture?
I have family members and close friends that are in politics either consulting or sitting in office right now. They say it is much more pronounced with Ted.
No, I got he’s behind in that poll, however, that poll had him down 10 a month ago, and now only down 3. So how did his numbers “fall” like Ted said?

If Ted Cruz was born in 1870 instead of 1970 he wouldn’t even be a citizen of the United States. It was a 1952 naturalization act of Congress that even made it possible for someone in his situation. How is that being a NBC?
