Gonna be a bit embarrassing to have banned the sitting President of your closest ally from entering the country.
I watched a little of the debate on C-SPAN. It seemed like some of the MPs in favor of banning Trump were from the Scottish Nationalist party. If they had won the referendum, Scotland would be on the way to independence...which would perhaps mean Trump would be banned just from Scotland, not from England...despite having a mother who was Scottish.
England, the tribe that sailed the seven seas, feared no man....now hiding under a bed, out of the fear of spoken words...
yes, I remember that incident...a land that conquered the world, reduced to passiveness....low Testosterone counts for sure...

The arguments made against Trump were false. They claimed he supported the ban strictly because of their religion. Trump was clear that we have to determine how Islamic terrorists could get through the immigration process.
8 Muslim MPs out of 650. Or just over 1% if you prefer. Your 'soon' is maybe a wee bit optimistic, or pessimistic if you prefer?
You and I and others here keep fighting, but I have almost given up. Many people here simply believe the UK is Muslim and any facts you reply with just get ignored.
Myth.
No, the British people like America and Americans, even if the chattering classes don’t.
Two points, folks:
1-—This was a debate only, no vote. There was never any ban on the table. Only the Home Sec can impose a ban, NOT politicians. The counter-petition to welcome Trump to the UK was also debated. And due to the petition numbers, this HAD to be debated, no matter how stupid. Parliamentary procedure.
2—Whilst I understand the anger here at the UK, this was a petition signed by 1 in every 100 Brits. Literally 99 out of a 100 Brits did NOT sign this. And many Brits do not support any sort of ban on Trump and others.
The UK is NOT Muslim, nor is it run by or will be run by Islam. It has a problem with extremist Islam and radicalised youth. But the UK is still 96% NON Muslim, 92% White European. Whilst the UK may have a problem with Islam currently, any idea that the UK is or is going to be Muslim is a complete nonsense.
This is a UK where conservatives rule in gov, where the fastest rising party is even more conservative, and where support for leaving the EU is fast growing.
The UK has its problems, but its far healthier than Americans think.

To be fair, the nation that gave the world the 1776 Declaration of Independence and the 1789 Bill of Rights is also looking a bit poorly.
You got that right and that is why this year’s elections are going to be very, very important.
It happened, what is a myth is that us Limeys stood by and did nothing. Several men tried to intervene but were forced back by the two men.
