Donald Trump has been pretty dull lately, which isn't by his own design. He's tried hard to keep the fires burning, but those continuous fires burnt American citizens right out. How could Trump resurrect media interest in his political antics? Well, he could choose a firebrand running mate, or at least, he could imply said running mate in advance. All along, folks have suspected that the ballad of Trump and Sarah Palin could come to a roaring crescendo in 2016. Let's quickly recap the evidence of how this could happen.

“Which candidate in this race has been a lifelong supporter of democrats and abortion?”
Try something new. This one’s becoming a bore.
Sorry, folks, all too many se her as some stupid hick with a thoroughly redneck family.
Many of us out here in Oklahoma think Sarah is pretty high class. She don’t “chew”, her truck has obviously been washed in the last year, and the tires match..yeah, “uppercrust” is the word I would use.
So you don’t mind if both Trump and Cruz are corrupt? Trump/Cruz 2016?
Your tagline?
“Liberty is not a purity contest, it is a movement, and I am sailing on its winds,” said Robspierre.
Me, too. However, no more.
Me, too, Kevin. I was more excited by her than anyone in a long time. I might have to drag out my old Sarah Palin tee shirt again.
Oh, we’re still here. Just because we’d vote for her doesn’t mean we gush about her 24/7.
No, I expect him to blow the whole thing up and yes Cruz is every bit as corrupt and more than Trump.
Trump was playing the game the way the rules are made and made billions. I respect that and wish more could. Now he is the perfect guy to expose and destroy that game and bring in real capitalism. Cruz is now bought off by the system.
Guess you are ok with a little corruption right? What is your limit before you think it is too much? You ok with Goldman Sachs funding a campaign and promoting his wife after he is Senator? Is that ok? I think she should resign from GS, but then I guess I am just old fashioned.
Too bad, I will never ever vote for Sarah Palin. She is a Hillary Clinton in sheep skin. I am much more afraid of the hidden wolf than the real one.
She is one self promoting gal we don’t need in politics.
“You really donât think that Cruz would have wanted a Palin endorsement right now?”
The major concern might be how much can she help him in Iowa.
Yeah, what do you want?
I don’t see how this would be a plus for Trump overall IF it is an endorsement from Palin. It should help in Iowa but Trump is drawing independents from all over and Palin is not admired by a large % of the population. Not necessarily her fault, media unfairly represented her but it is what it is.
I’ve supported Sarah Palin for years and correctly predicted, on this site, that McCain would choose her as his running mate.
However, if this happens, I’m done with her. Sarah Palin is supposed to support conservatives. Donald Trump does not qualify.
But she will not work. May have sunk McCain.
I agree with you about the public perception about Palin... I like her as well, but she's (unfortunately) damaged goods. That said, I tend to think back in 2008, she kept McCain from being blown away by an even larger margin.
I voted for Palin not McCain. I never liked McCain but Sarah is the best. I see the Cruz bots already smearing her..sad
Me too, I proudly voted for Tippecanoe and Sarah too. Many people should be able to figure out what that means.
There is no evidence that she harmed or helped the ticket. We can speculate that she might have helped from keeping the blowout to a minimum.
The only real difference between McCain 2008 and Romney 2012 is that within the twelve swing states, McCain got zero and Romney got two, NC and IN, and only IN was there a large turnaround in result. So unless we believe that somehow Palin lost 6% of Indiana then there is simply nothing to prove she hurt the ticket.
What we know happened is that DingleBarry actually had 3.5 million less votes in 2012 which means that the electorate hit peak stupid in 2008 and Barry maxed out and hit his ceiling. The enthusiasm had subsided. Of course Romney only managed +1 million above McCain. Since population increase and naturalizations have not let up but accelerated, that tells the story that both underperformed and that the time is ripe now for a pendulum reversal to 2008. Many people should be able to figure out what that means.
This is exactly why Trump entered the race IMHO. This is simple math and I believe he knows that this year is it. The resistance to Cruz and doctrinaire (C) or evangelical or constitutionalists is logical because the nominee must be able to compete in all or most of those twelve states. Running a loud and proud conservative in those Coal/Rust belt states is a huge gamble. The states that are amenable to a doctrinaire (C) are already "red". It's those purple ones that are on the table. People better wake up and look at the battlefield they allegedly want to win.
So bribing elected officials is "the way the rules are made" and if you have "made billions" by playing that system then that is OK with you?
Oh yeah, Trump said he is going to "build a wall and make Mexico pay for it."
LOL!
You believe that?
If I find out that Cruz is corrupt or is part of this game, I will drop him like a rock.
Right now there is only some innuendo that he took out a LOAN (at a fairly high interest rate BTW) and that that somehow makes him as sleazy as a guy who would give $250,000 to the Clinton Pay for Play Foundation.
I've taken out a lot of loans in my lifetime. Never once did the bank ever require anything from me other than their money back with interest.
Trump, OTOH has taken out a lot of loans and leveraged a lot of his properties to make billions while bribing government officials to "grease the wheels" as you call it.
What the Hell happened to this forum?
Alaska values to counter New York values.
You forgot to mention this year’s $50K contribution from GS. I am sure that is from the graciousness of their heart. You ok with that corruption or are you going to dismiss everything he does while outraged by anything Trump does while a businessman. Sounds a bit hypocritical.
You also forgot to mention his wife making big bucks from them too while a Senator and perhaps a President. GS managed the Obama Bailouts and talk about corrupt.
Must be getting harder to be sanctimonious when your candidate is not as pure as you would like.
“What the Hell happened to this forum? “
People’s thirst to win has caused them to embrace wickedness. Hopefully, they’ll eventually get around to doing some soul-searching.
