Sarah Palin's Endorsement Speech
My Fetid Mind | January 19th, 2016 | Mariner

Posted on 01/19/2016 4:41:32 PM PST by Mariner

I just finished watching Sarah Palin's endorsement of Donald Trump and I have some observations.

Sarah Palin is a rhetorical genius. Like her or not, she's really good at political rhetoric.

And, I hope Trump is PAYING her, she's worth $5mil a month during the primaries so hopefully he'll be paying her at least $3mil/month.

This endorsement matters. She bring more "blue collar" credibility and conservative "good enough" to put all other GOP challengers back on their heels looking for life support.

This endorsement likely is the death knell for the Cruz campaign. I think it now means Trump will win Iowa, something I was sure he had locked up. I even contended aggressively with fellow Freepers on this matter. I considered it an illusion that anyone besides Cruz could win Iowa, but now I believe it will be Trump.

And Sarah Palin will be the reason.

Without Iowa, Cruz has no campaign.

Flame away, but do as well as you can to keep it civil.

>> For those who view Trump as something of a carnival barker, she’d just be another sideshow act.

They are both reality teevee professionals.

Maybe that’s what America wants. Reality teevee as an acceptable facsimile of real life.

“And, I hope Trump is PAYING her”

Suppose he paid for her flight down here in the private jet?

Palin should have been at home stopping her son from abusing a female and threatening to shoot himself with semi automatic rifle while drunk. The address listed was Palins home.

The content of her speech is brilliant, speckled with nationalism and patriotism. Physically and unfortunately, she has a HORRIBLE 'cackling' speaking voice.

Just the OPPOSITE of Odunga. LOL He HATES America with a bitter passion but his speaking voice is good.

I agree, this was one of her best ever.

It was brilliant.

It's going to fulfill her intentions.

Unless you're a Cruz alone can help us kind of person, it's not possible to have not been moved by that.

Heartfelt, and a stemwinder, it was really good to see that from her again.

Well I think Palin’s paycheck will be Secretary of Energy. She would be good in that spot as it seems to be her forte.

I think it was a death sentence to Trump’s campaign. Trump was relying on blue collar Democrats to get him over the hump. They all just bailed. In addition, Conservatives that were for Cruz now need to make a very big decision as this election was just put back into their hands.

If they decide Trump is another RINO with some good rhetoric and he is the nominee, they will stay home as they did in 2012.

Game, set, match Democrats. And Trump can mark off, “ran for President” on his bucket list.

"Bad day for Cruz and his Cult."

I'm asking you to stop disparaging Cruz supporters.

I know times have been sometimes hostile and a degree of animus has built up.

But, please find a way to stop.

I think her appearance is a wash in the short term. Time will tell what sort of synergy, if any comes from the relationship.

I think Cruz was in trouble anyway. Too many issues, and the qualification issue is a deal breaker for 25% or so, which fraction can only grow.

Race is still Trump's to lose. He needs to control his outbursts, I think he has a good feedback loop from people around him, I doubt he tolerates yes-men.

This is a crazy election cycle, but I think it beats having to have a bloody civil war.

Oh, and I think you’re right.

I agree with you on this one. I respect Palin, but this endorsement of Trump, makes me want to puke. Now all I see of Palin is the one who joined ultimate insider/GOPe-select/reach-across-the-aisle-and-hug-a-communist/McLame.

Trumps attacks on Cruz and Carson are identical to the left’s attack strategy. I respect Cruz and Carson and even Rubio more than I can respect Trump. Trump, to me, is looking like a spoiled, rich, carnaval snake oil salesman.

I hope they have the good sense to listen to both their Governor and Sarah Palin.

Today was the double-header that knocked Cruz outta the ballpark in Iowa.

I don’t have anything against Palin, still like her just fine. This endorsement doesn’t bring anyone new on board in my opinion. It’s a one-day splash.
