Sarah Palin: 'No more pussyfooting around' if Trump elected

AMES, Iowa-

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump received the endorsement Tuesday of conservative firebrand Sarah Palin, giving the billionaire businessman a potential boost less than two weeks before Iowa's kick-off caucuses.

"Media heads are spinning," the former vice presidential candidate said after taking the stage at a Trump rally at Iowa State University. "This is going to be so much fun."

Palin, the former governor of Alaska and 2008 GOP vice presidential pick, said that, with Trump as president, America would no longer apologize.

"No more pussy-footing around," Palin said.

The endorsement comes as Trump is locked in a dead heat with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in Iowa. The two have been ramping up their attacks against one another as the election has neared.

In the statement announcing the endorsement, Trump's campaign described Palin as a conservative who "helped launch the careers of several key future leaders of the Republican Party and conservative movement." The statement also quoted Cruz as once saying he "would not be in the United States Senate were it not for Gov. Sarah Palin. ... She can pick winners."

Campaigning in New Hampshire, Cruz said, "Regardless of what Sarah intends to do in 2016, I will remain a big, big fan of Sarah Palin."

I see Trump appointing Cruz to the Supreme Court. That’s where Cruz belongs and where his whole life has been leading him.

Who do you see Trump appointing to the Supreme Court? Hillary Clinton??

Also interesting she did not mention Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio.

A Washington outsider endorses a Washington outsider. People are fed up with business as usual. They are not buying the tired old promises from the usual politicians that lie to us every 2 or 4 years in their campaign speeches. Time for a change. Time for Trump.

So, that's your opinion based on what Trump has done in the past.

Curz, on the other hand, is another bloated ego Princeton/Harvard lawyer who has spent his entire working life on the taxpayer teat and who hasn't even finished his first term in the Senate.

How good you feel when he gives you a good speech job doesn't count as having a record or accomplishing anything, so forget the fact that he can sling BS. Teddy Bears and soccer balls for illegals one day, doing something about illegals the next. Against TPP but voting for TPA to make TPP easier to pass. All for ending ethanol subsidies one day, all for "phasing them out" the next kicking that can down the road just like all the other politicians. One day he says being born on US soil of two US citizen parents is what it takes to be Natural Born, next day being born in Canada with one citizen parent is good enough. One day he's all Mr. Moral, the next he assures his queer money men that queers marrying one another isn't important to him.

Tell me how Ted being just another cookie cutter demopublican with no accomplishments on his record is a better track record than Trump has, I'm all ears.

It will, alas, turn votes. Sarah has certainly been helpful, but not all of her picks have turned out well. Renee Elmers and Nikki Haley come to mind. Her pick, here in Iowa, of Ernst in the senate primary was a pick of the second most liberal candidate there. (The folks at Conservatives for Palin had identified, and were pushing, the most conservative one prior to Palin's pick. To Trump's credit, Donald signed him up as his state chair. If Trump wins I hope he gets a big job!) Sarah's feigned presidential run the last cycle did real harm. It sucked all the conservative air from the campaign until it was too late for an alternative strong conservative to enter. Romney's nomination was largely her fault. If Trump flops, either as a nominee or as a president, McCain can be very proud of his protégée.

Wasn’t impressed by Trump’s answer on BOR tonight when asked about protecting Christians. He srarts rambling on about Merry Christmas and how you can’t say it any more...really? Gee I was thinking more along the lines of bakers, florists, photographers, Hobby Lobby and little sisters of the poor. Is he completely tone deaf on this issue? I’ll tell you that issue is keeping me on the fence. He still has not come out strongly against the gay mafia and planned parenthood.

President Trump. We love him and the Republicans and Democrats hate him. Who ever thought a billionaire would be a man of the people?

Uhhh - you can forget the Tea Party supporting Trump en masse.

Palin just about killed that.

You mean the Washington outsider who ran with the premier Washington insider, lost and has been doing reality TV and book signings to stay relevant?

Gives outsiders a bad name.

I have been a BIG fan of Sarah Palin. I had VIP seating at an event she put on when she was running for VP. Got the photos to prove it.

I still have little respect for Trump as a “Republican” candidate.

I still am fully supportive of Ted Cruz.

Her “endorsement” has no effect on me, other than being bewildered by such a baseless endorsement.

Trump's all about "The Deal". I am sure it cost him in some form or fashion.

I understand that she is going around Iowa for the next two days. I wish she would stay in Iowa going to different communities until the caucus. This is the only state that is difficult for Trump. If he gets Iowa, the nomination is know and the primary is over. At least I believe that.

I don’t care. I care about 1 thing The Supreme Court. If Trump can get better justices then Bernie or Hillary, we win. 4 seats will most likely be open so we better damn well be careful being nasty to Trump supporters. We are saving the United States.

Sarah Palin is golden, I know, the very best thing would be for her to circulate among the public in Iowa, she is genuine and would secure trust and votes

Iowa is very important, but I'm an engineer much more than a political strategist, thus I can't explain Trumps detailed strategy, like I can't explain to an Iowan that they should sell their corn crop for food not fuel, and subsidies are chains.
