This will surely make some people stop buying it too:

Absolutely insane. A SHTF state (Idaho) importing its destruction.

Chobani, off the list.

They might poison it to strike at us Infidels.

I'm with you, Laz. They shouldn't be let anywhere near the food supply.

It's bad enough that Tyson and other meat companies got wind of the "regugee training" program of the gov't. Fired all of their minimum wage Mexicans and put Somalies on the lines. All because they'd get all expenses for them from the gov't.

Who knows what kinds of weird diseases will come from that.

I remember that ad!

“Eighty-nine year old Baguat Tapagua liked our Dannon yogurt so much, he ate two cups. This pleased his mother very much.”

Anyway, Chobani is now added to my “Produced proudly by Muslims for your enjoyment, you filthy infidel dogs!!” list.

Greek Gods honey vanilla is awesome, as is their plain.
I bought a dozen Chobani single-serve cups last week because they were on sale, to toss in the lunchbox. Every single one was less than half full, only about 2 tbs. in the container.
So I’d already decided to boycott Chobani.
Yoplait, Dannon, and many other commercially popular brands contain no probiotic cultures, and thus are not real yogurt (like Kraft singles are not real cheese.) They’re just gelatinized processed milk product.
Real probiotic yogurt is very healthy for the GI tract. Especially after a bout of stomach flu or diarrhea, and after taking antibiotics. Look for the word “probiotic” on the carton.

Yep-that’s why I’ve been buying kefir for the family and kumbucha as a treat for myself.

After graduating from Ankara University, Ulukaya came to the U.S. on a student visa in 1994 and studied at the University of Albany.

Is he another one that has overstayed his visa so is he now an illegal alien?

Chobani is not my yogurt and I don’t use any of those other companies. Thanks for the warning.

I looked up kumbucha. Had heard the word, didn’t know what it is. Will try it. Thanks!

Well yuck. No more Chobani for me.

I liked it because it’s strained (not thickened with junk) has less sugar and more protein than regular yogurt. I’ll find a different Greek yogurt.

It is an acquired taste. I’ve tried three brands and one is so much better I’ll never stray from it: GT. It is the most widely available brand as well.

I used to make it myself but a friend of mine made me a bit fearful of poisoning my family with a bad batch. It is literally pennies on the dollar compared to buying it already made so I may go back to homemade kombucha.

Hope you like it :-).

Around here Jennie-O employs many, many Somali “refugees”. I recently learned that part of refugee status is that you don’t pay any income taxes (presumably for seven years as that’s how long they get free housing, food, health care, etc) so I wonder if the companies who hire them don’t have to pay the employers share of taxes? I’m not a business person but I know that employers taxes match each employees taxes so is this a way companies save money, consequences to the country be damned??

I read over the story quickly, but it sounded like Chobani may not be the only brand that this factory supplies. Is that correct?

I never bothered reading the whole thing, but Chobani is definitely Turkish/Muslim owned.

I won’t be ever buying from them again.
