Do they have to have the DOJ to go along? Couldn’t they just take this to criminal court like the rest of us peasants would end up if we broke the law?

Hillary Clinton has said on numerous occasions that she “never sent or received information that was marked “Classified.” She isn’t lying when she says that - because there is no category of secure information called “Classified.” It’s a generic term that encompasses information marked as “Confidential”, “Secret”, “Top Secret”, etc. She’s playing word games. This is her version of “it depends on what the definition of the word “is” is.”

According to the article, “The government has said that Mrs. Clinton is not a subject of the investigation.”

But neither did the government say Mrs. Clinton is not a “target” of the investigation. We can only hope.

Scooter was put in a perjury trap by ac special prosecutor. For a non-crime.

Hillary has this far been spared any “interview”. Ultimately scooter was charged with lying to the FBI about years old private conversations. The proof he lied was other people remembered them differently.

One of them died before trial. Another has since publically recanted.

Scooter was railroaded by a highly ambitions prosecutor, a complicit press, and a wildly partisan jury.

He should still be pardoned

This article is whistling past the graveyard with its unrelenting optimism that justice will be done. History shows that Democratic regimes are willing to ignore the obvious legal processes necessary for the rule of law in the interest of protecting Dems and their lawless regimes.

And this has happened before in the 1990s when the ambitious young Deputy US Attorney Eric Holder ignored a referral of a perjury charge against Hillary’s main operative for Hillarycare, Ira Magaziner and also approved a pardon for Marc Rich, a Dem donor to Bill Clinton, who escaped prosecution for tax evasion, trading illegally with Iran, and racketerring. Holder was never held to account and became an Attorney General who was willing to overlook the lawlessness of the Obama regime over DOJ approved arms sales to Mexican druglords and eventually was charged with contempt of Congress.

The lesson for all Dem appointees is that if you don’t snitch, you can actually ignore the rule of law as it pertains to a Democratic President and your career will be rewarded with higher honors and money via Dem corporate connections and the support of the Dem media. So don’t hold your breath that Hillary will be called to account, no matter how honorable FBI Director Comey is.

Scooter Libby was interviewed by the FBI and Hillary hasn’t been.

I followed the Libby case very closely. He told the FBI that he didn't know Plame was at the CIA (and he stuck to this after being given "memory refreshers"), after he had inquired to the CIA about her. IIRC, the interval between the inquiry to the CIA and the FBI interview was less than a year, certainly less than two. He should have just said "Yeah, I knew she worked there." He could have added that he told reporters too, and the prosecutor couldn't have done anything about it, not even disclose the fact.

Fitzgerald, being a bit of a political animal, had his "false statements" case.

One can argue that he should have exercised prosecutorial discretion, but the issue was a big deal in the press, and he has his own face to save too, not to mention whatever his own sensibilities are about lying to the investigator, sending them on wild goose chase.

Libby's contention that he forgot, so long ago that he even forgot that he forgot, just wasn't credible. The commutation by Bush was appropriate. Any more and Bush's detractors would have made the stupid story an issue all over again. Trump can pardon Libby.

Let's hope that the FBI is half as tough on Hillary.
