There were a few zots here yesterday, that might have sent a message to chill out a little.

Thanks for the full disclosure.

“If Cruz can’t manage his own campaign successfully, how well can he manage the country?”

Cruz’ campaign manager Jeff Roe, in 2012, “helped” Richard Mourdock and Rick Perry.

I think he may specialize in candidate meltdowns.

“I myself don’t care what people call me. But some people do. Why can’t we disagree without being so miserable?”

“Flip flopping is a weak mental state, misrepresenting to manipulate is a character issue. Neither seem unusual for Trump lemmings.”- X-Spurt

I don’t know, fatnotlazy, why don’t you ask this typical example of an insult hurling Cruz supporter named X-spurt.

He doesn’t even seem to be able to answer a question without hurling blanket insults at a large group of people.

Maybe he has so much misery inside himself that he has no choice but to unload as much of it as he can on anyone who has the misfortune of meeting him, because it’s too great a burden for him to shoulder on his own.

Well what do you think has alienated Cruz in DC? Cruz has faithfully stood up for We the People, unwilling to betray us with back room deals. You cannot have it both ways folks.

Marcus didn't get the Trump memo.

Weird thing is, I'm not really sure I *like* Trump. I admire the way he out maneuvers the media as well as the way he seems to understand that a country can't remain a country without borders.

But I can't say I trust him enough to like him.

And yes, I can see him being led around by the nose as far as the courts are concerned.

----

I think a simple way to put this is I don't believe we should let a Nickle hold up a Dollar.

Perfectly understandable and very much your prerogative, but honestly , if the courts manage to redefine the terms of Natural law, I fear appointments in the courts will be the least of our problems.

Just my point of view.

I don't need to read the thread. I was there.

People say they will do all kinds of things that they probably won't really do in the heat of a conversation. It happens all the time here. It's just a human reaction thing. They were not being defeatist. The are (or in the context of this place were) passionate about their candidate. The most conservative one in the race by a country mile.

It was passion to conservatism that got them bounced from a "conservative" political site.

Cruz and Rubio won their seats due to Tea Party patriots pushing back against the drift left by the GOP. Rubio soon betrayed his supporters here by pushing for amnesty. Cruz has stood up for the principles that got him elected, even to the point of spearheading an unpopular government shutdown. I think he has earned some credibility.

Conservatives here should consider that most Republicans have betrayed conservatives once in office. If conservatives here abandon Cruz, it is like voting for more GOPe phony conservatism.

Personally, I’ve had enough.

I am willing to support Trump if he stays conservative. He does not have a long track record like Cruz. Conservatives should not be so gung ho to support him unconditionally. Otherwise, Trump may be Rubio ii. Demand that he promise to govern conservatively, pick a conservative running mate, and defund Planned Parenthood.

Even those who are only fiscal conservatives should agree that Planned Parenthood does not need half a billion tax dollars every year. This is an organization that takes tax dollars and participates in politics to get pro-abortion candidates elected. That should be criminal just like abortion should be.

The fact that FR, for the first time in weeks, is not drowning in “Trump sucks” articles shows that the Cruz people understand this.

Nope, banning Cruz supporters here more likely the reason.

A lot of articles seem to make the assumption that if you’re going to vote for Trump in the primary, you must hate Ted. That’s simply not true. I like Ted enough that I’ll vote for him in the general if he wins the nomination, and feel pretty good about doing so. I just prefer Trump, for a growing number of reasons, so I’ll be giving him my vote in the primary.

Not sure why so many in the Cruz camp are so full of piss and vinegar and seem so quick to dig in their heels and start denouncing people for their “lack of purity” or whatever. To each their own, but I don’t see it as a good way to win people over.

How many of the trumpers are relative newbies and have joined in the last 8-12 months? Not making accusations, just never saw this much animosity here before and I’ve been around a couple years or so.

But don't try to dictate your conscience on everyone else.

I didn't, so why are you accusing me of it?

---

Under the applicable laws (1952), Cruz is a natural born citizen of the US.

Show me the exact phrase *natural born* in the applicable law. (BTW - if you're made a citizen by statue, your aren't natural born)

----

Some of us will not side with liberal attacks on a conservative candidate on principle.

If you can't tell the difference between voicing an opinion and an attack, that's your problem.

If someone said that about Trump on FR he would be banned immediately.

Voted democrat.
Gave to Democrat campaigns.
