What does Trump have in common with Evangelicals? What policies and values has Trump expressed that align with an evangelical outlook? Meanwhile, guys like Cruz and Huckabee are very much aligned with the evangelical movement.

I don’t disagree with what you are saying here in this post. I also agree with the poster in #7. I just don’t understand why “evangelicals” are endorsing Trump either.

You know, it’s become such a rare pleasure to exchange a comment or two without rancor, I really appreciate it, as insignificant as it might be.
God, family, country, is my hierarchy.
Mine too, and let us not forget the 2nd Amendment in that pecking order. Or we won’t have it. Time to reclaim what is our right. And we won’t do that by importing those who believe the only good Christian or Jew is a dead one.
That’s true. We are so in between a rock and a hard place right now, and one of the scariest things is people’s strong desire for a strongman to save us all. Too much faith in fallible man. We do need strong leadership, strong on the right things, to get us off this slippery slope to to losing everything which made us America, and made America an exceptional nation (no matter what Hussein says). Immigration is a big part of that, but I’m to where I don’t know how to trust any of them, based on things coming out now, and I’m always wary of cults of personality and cries from the people for strong leadership. I believe in strong leadership, like Reagan’s, but where do we start getting wary. I know we are in the end times, the birth pangs are strong, and it’s difficult to not see everything and everyone through that lense.
