I am not certain how this all plays out but I kind of understand the aberration that is Trump. My feeling is his disjointed support is a message to all of the senators and congressmen that got swept into off during the last two election cycles. By reneging on their promise to fight Obama and the Dems they no longer trust anyone considered “establishment” in congress. They are pissed beyond reason and I do not blame them. Hopefully they will reengage and vote intelligently. However, whoever gets elected; be aware, the anger will be even greater next time if they are scape goated again.

The liberalism and crony capitalism of the Establishment did not cause people to revolt and support... a known liberal recipient of crony capitalism. So stop saying that it did. The evidence of that can be seen in the way that the Establishment is now eagerly embracing Trump in order to prevent even the possibility of a Cruz presidency - and in the way Trump is praising them in return.

Not so much. Leon sees two groups: the Establishment and whatever Ted Cruz is ... conservative? ... Tea Party?

But there are other constituencies that have been ignored by the Establishment, and some of them don't think that they'd do better with Cruz in the White House.

In that sense, the Trump phenomenon is a reaction against the GOP Establishment (and against Obama -- and Cruz for that matter).

Leon also sees the GOPe as perfidious and spineless and sees Cruz as the alternative to that, but what if large numbers of voters see Cruz as deficient in other ways?

Those voters probably aren't across-the-board ideological movement conservatives, but they are voters, they do have a say, and they aren't part of the Establishment.

I'm not saying Trump is the candidate to vote for, just pointing out possibilities that Leon ignores.

Conservatism is what we’ve voted into office for how long now? How dense are you? Where has it gotten us?

Reagan was the last AMERICAN President. The rest have been globalists who rode into office on the premise of being “conservative”. Your guy is no different, sorry.

His votes and his owners prove it over and over.

We aren’t going back to the plantation, massa.

Deal with it.

Bubba, I agree with your comments—except in one area...You state:

So, our only chance is for the Republicans to hold on to the Senate AND for us to elect a Conservative President who will only nominate Conservative judges. If Chuckie Schumer controls the Senate OR if we elect a President who appoints liberal or moderate judges, then our nations is well and truly screwed.

Well, first of all, if Hillary or Bernie are elected, all bets are off, so we have to elect SOMEONE OTHER THAN THEM.
Secondly, you do not know exactly who Trump (and I am assuming you are directing your scenario above to him) will nominate, but whoever he nominates would be 100% better than Hillary’s nominees.

I won’t even get into the selections of the other GOP candidates, because I don’t think any of them can beat the Dems.

Leon Wolf has been prolific in his spewing of anti-Trump screeds. He’s turning them out faster than anyone.

I wonder what his FR username is?

Your correct!!! Aside from Trump, I am willing to pick another 12 people from the phone book that I would trust more than the current lot of politicians on both sides.

Regarding Trumps popularity with voters, the anti-constitutional republic Progressive Movement may be regretting tricking the states into basing the electoral college on ordinary citizen votes.

Roberts was appointed by Bush. Roberts was the deciding vote for Obamacare. Is Roberts 100% better than either of Obama's appointees?

Kennedy was appointed by Reagan. Kennedy was the deciding vote for homosexual marriage. Is Kennedy 100% better than either of Obama's appointees?

A moderate is no better than a liberal when the Court hangs in the balance.

(How about tell me why I should vote for (whoever) instead of telling me who not to vote for?)

They can’t! Their candidate of choice is the same boring milquetoast status quo politician with the same canned policies and pitches.

It's sad that we don't have much certainty with ANY of these Republican candidates! Cruz "fought the Republicans" and even waged a lengthy filibuster on the Senate floor, but.. DID HE EVER WIN?!!!

On the other hand, does anyone think Trump will LOSE on trade negotiations, economic leveraging, or anything relating to an American economic resurgence?

Oy vey! Someone help me out here. Recently Trump has sounded even more moderate than before which might just be a political maneuver to broaden his base, but.. WHO KNOWS?

All I know is, Trump is a MAN. Cruz is a MAN. We need a MAN, not a petulant boy sexually abused by his cross-dressing transgender nanny as a child in the White House. We may not make it to November 2016 as it is!!

You hit the nail on the head with that one. The people are totally fed-up with the political class and their promises and their lies and their corruption. The lying politicians have stabbed us in the back so many times no one believes them anymore. Even the tea party and so-called conservative politicians promoted by the so-called conservative organizations. The people are saying enough with their broken promises, lies and failures! Off with their heads!

If Trump were “brilliant” he’d be making sure he wasn’t turning off so many would-be voters with his...we’ll call it rhetoric.
