That 45% republican vote does not take into account the independent & crossover from democrats with increases in ‘minorities’ & women as subsets of those. And all the people who’ve opted out of the political process for a period of time.
Who to believe- the ‘polls’ or our lyin eyes. It’s a fact that Trump’s rallies are unprecedented except for 0bama. Trump’s an ‘old, White guy’. And he’s got money. And he’s a ‘NY yankee’. Yet, people are wild about the guy.
Maybe I just live in a different world, but I can’t see his ‘’celebrity’’ as being anywhere near enough to generate this kind of turnout. I’m not cynical enough to buy that. People are not as stupid/ vapid/ sheeple as they’re portrayed to be- not when America’s problems are as plain obvious as they are.
We’ve had it with extremists & radicals. That’s the upside of 0bama & his communist buddies. We just want normal. AMERICAN normal. Trump is everyman. He thinks like everyman & he talks like everyman. HE is *extremely* ticked off by exactly the same things that everyman is ticked off about. Being ‘’rich’’ has not made him immune or oblivious.
We’ll see what happens. I have no ‘predictions’, really. Only because I take NOTHING for granted EVER. IF our breathtakingly corrupt political system can be checked, he will most probably be our next president.
People can’t stand liars. Especially blatant, exposed liars. We know them when we see them. Dishonesty, avarice, & corruption are the moral issues *everybody* hates.
We’re not going to put up with that anymore.

The best thing about Trump is that he has SHOWN us that we are NOT ‘divided’ as we have thought we were. We see the same things. We want the same things. We hate the same things. We LOVE America & want her back the way she used to be, CAN be, & was meant to be.
We needed that. It is everything.
I understand the desire for an in your face style. Honestly though, what was trump doing to stop Obama when Cruz was filibustering and pulling no punches in his fight against Obamacare?
Cruz has been standing up. He's been direct and confident in his fight for the constitution and conservatism.
Not putting your guy down here, but Cruz is not status quo.
