I know how to change the debates to make them much better.
No moderators. It is agreed upon in advance which candidates belong on stage, limiting it to the top 10 at first, and narrowing the field over the season. The candidates all pick 5 topics, maybe they even ask for topics from the public, then the candidates (and their people) communicate among themselves only and consolidate which topics they ALL agree on. At the debate, there is simply a mild host to run the timing of the topics. For example, they will speak for X minutes each on the Middle East. Then they will be able to rebut one another for another several minutes on that topic. Then the time is up and the next topic begins.
We don’t need no steenkin moderators.
Fair enough. I was going by the one listed at the top of the Breaking News sidebar. But my point was that this debate does have a lot of interest.

Well you might regurgitate Trumps lines but the candidates, viewers and audience, appreciated this debate on issues and exchanges as well as the humor, and general all around atmosphere.....the stranglehold was broken and there was clean air to breath again.
Yup, and Ted could actually pull it off, as Sheriff Matt Dillon that is , and Ohh, Miss Kitty at the Longbranch and Festus and all . . I digress, but God Love those people that paved the way for us. We don't think of them often enough.

Yes it did. I wonder since the number of posts there are for both being so close if the number of posters was similar and if Freepers are divided pretty evenly. I think it’s normal for a presidential election year. Have a blessed 29th!
The atmosphere with Trump not being there was like when the asshole at your party who gets drunk and starts bragging about how many girls he bangs finally leaves and everyone is relieved.
Some of the Trump supporters were saying that the debate wouldn’t have interest without Trump there. That is clearly not the case.
