Transgender people may find a bit of relief in a bill being proposed by a California lawmaker Friday that would make all public single-stall restrooms gender neutral.

Also, it doesn’t matter at all if you “FEEL” like the other gender, you aren’t....
Wow, I want to make a snarky comment to entertain my fellow Freepers, but am coming up blank. This is just shocking.
I like the idea, especially since I don’t live in CA.
I bet 90% of women in CA are liberals.
Good lesson for them.
I hate when they have to put huge handicapped toilet stall in a tiny men’s room and it takes up the entire room, so only one person can go at a time.
We already have “single stall” restrooms that are “gender-neutral”. They’re called Port-o-potties.
Maybe the PC mullahs should just shi’ite in their hats..
What could possibly go wrong?
I am a woman who lived for many years in house with 6 men (father, husband, 4 sons).
My dream is to have a bathroom that no man ever enters!! With flowers and candles and fancy soaps and a lovely deep tub I can escape too. LOL.
In NYC black men need not worry about these bathrooms they can just stop in the middle of the street while you are walking past with your kids, whip it out, piss in the street and continue on thier way and they will not be arrested because the commie mayor of NYC believes there are to many men of color being locked up just for this. BELIEVE IT!
De Blasio and Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito say vigorous enforcement of so-called quality-of-life crimes is too burdensome on what the speaker terms âcommunities of color.â
So, the city means to effectively decriminalize low-level antisocial behavior â public urination, outdoor dope-smoking and drinking, turnstile jumping and so on â on the way to gutting the so-called broken-windows approach to safe streets.
It takes a lot more total space, and costs a lot more to install several one-person facilities, than it does to have several “appliances” in a single larger room. A lot more. How’s that for a problem?
I should have added another problem — with multi-stall (or urinal) washrooms, some users can wash up, powder their noses, etc. while others are still “going”. You get a lot more thru-put/sq. ft. that way, compared to single use rooms.
“Single stall”, meaning one person in at time with the outer door locked? I don’t have much of a problem with that, last time I was at a department store they had a bathroom like that, me and a lady were waiting for it at the same time, that was kinda awkward though....
I’m reminded of the shower scene in “Starship Troopers”.
That, I would not mind so much. ;-D
But waiting to pee wondering if I should defer to this lady or not (I really had to go and we both got there at the same time) and let her go first was not wonderful. IIRC she saw my need and deferred to me.
Speaking of peeing... looks like we both get up early to do so--
In my case I’ve haven’t gone to sleep yet, been wasting my time freeping, I look up and it’s passed 3AM. ;d
Nature’s call does sometimes interrupt my sleep though, it’s not only you older fellas. If I have to go I oft dream of being in a bathroom, that’s crowded and filthy so I can’t go. ;p
But since I'm up... Cheers!
“...put huge handicapped toilet stall ...”
Hey, I LIKE those!!! They’re higher off the floor, and my legs don’t get numb when I’m reading!!!!!!!!! It’s the only time of the day I know EXACTLY what I’m doing!!
:^)
Khent finds them to be very convenient.
I like how spacious they are, and they’re always on the end.
Good point!
