Grow Up! How can anyone be for this spoiled brat?

Oh good, the steadfast purveyor of the myth that the world economy is not a “zero-sum” game weighs in to inform us of our ignorance.

Sowell is the personification of the elites described in Tucker Carlson’s great article. Blissfully unaware of the real world effects of the policies that he well-paid to promote. But, he’s old...we should be kind & aim for the moat when we throw him out of his ivory tower.

This is a defining moment for Sowell that could very well alter his career.

Maybe we can ask the moderators to remove any reference to him in all the past years' threads.

Sowell is so out to lunch on this. Actual conservative voters are behind Cruz or Trump.

Sure, Trump appeals to Reagan Democrat types as well, but the concept of Jeb, Kasich, Christie, Rubio and the like splitting any conservative vote so Trump can slip by is laughable.

LOL, had to check your posting history to make sure that wasn’t an actual fascist suggestion from a Trump supporter.

Actually, it’s the brains of Free Republicans that seem to switch off when they listen to Trump.

It's an amazingly long list, isn't it?

To paraphrase Solzhenitsyn, "the Soviets came to power and all of a sudden traitors came pouring out of the woodwork."

Trump has incredible magnetism.

So did Obama.

Trump has changed the entire political paradigm in the U.S. and it will take time for many of those embedded in the old paradigm to make the transition.

Remember the grieving process: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance.

Seems Sowell is stuck somewhere between denial and early anger.

He'll eventually come around, but his career as a thinker/commentator might be over.

Another former conservative icon gone off the deep end over Trump.

With so many conservative icons lining up against Trump, did you ever stop to think it's Trump who's wrong, not all the conservative icons? I stopped, thought about it, and came to that conclusion, especially since Trump's sense of principles and values is wildly inconsistent and has frequently been not conservative.

I don’t think so Nick. Fox took a pretty big hit on revenue.

Trump hasn’t added anything new to the paradigm that fellow cranky, mercurial billionaire malcontent Ross Perot didn’t do before.

Meanwhile, backers of Ted Cruz said in response to Donald’s vet rally that they too would be willing to donate $1.5 million .....

but only if certain political conditions were satisfied.

Sad, very sad.

What is that supposed to prove?

It’s laughable how you folks connect him to Obama, Hitler, and other people as if it meant something.

Trump isn’t pushing Obama policy.

Putting them in the same sentence more or less reveals desperation on your part to somehow tarnish Trump.

It’s silly.

‘Over the years I’ve had respect for Sowell ...’

I’ll continue to respect Sowell’s research, but when it comes to Trump — grain of salt.

One would hope he would level out when reality sets in.

I don’t like to see him this way, and I hope you’re wrong. I know you’re not being definitive about it, but it is troublesome none the less.

Trump is for Trump.

It’s obviously not a coincidence that he chose this moment in time to raise money for Veterans.

Has he ever raised $$ for them in the past?

It means you’re trying to sell Trump on the basis of a schoolgirl crush or a rock band groupie.

“He has SUCH animal magnetism! Oh, be still my beating heart!”

You have no idea how pathetic and shallow this Trump-pumping often sounds.

“But, but, ‘merica! He gonna make it great again! And, he gonna fix evvy-ting! And do evvy-ting smarter and better than evvy-body else! Because he’s Trump, a big ol’, strong ol’ bidness-man who can make deals!”

The cult of personality built up around him is laughable but also truly frightening. When revolutions take place in countries based on this sort of thing, they tend to produce very ugly, regrettable results.
