Morning Joe in Denial on Influence of Palin’s Endorsement of Donald Trump
Conservatives4Palin ^ | January 29, 2016 | iizthatiiz

Posted on 01/30/2016 5:24:23 AM PST by Bratch

Joe Scarborough abruptly cut off Steve Rattner’s analysis this morning of the immediate effect Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Donald Trump has had on Iowa voters.

Betting markets say Trump is the clear fav to win Iowa (he might have Palin to thank for it). My @Morning_Joe chart: pic.twitter.com/4057fFUvKC

  — Steven Rattner (@SteveRattner) January 29, 2016

Scarborough immediately interrupted Rattner’s analysis, and shifted the explanation of Trump’s Iowa breakout toward the questions Trump has been raising about the ‘issue’ of Ted’s citizenship. NBC’s Chuck Todd was all too quick to giddily agree.

Rattner drew another line on his chart to appease Scarborough, but misplaced the time-frame of when Trump first began to question Ted’s eligibility.

01-29-16 Predictwise - Iowa - Trump - Cruz - Citizenship - January 7th

Trump has been casting doubts regarding Cruz’s eligibility on a daily basis, going back to at least January 7th, if not further.

The red line shown here is a far more accurate reflection than Rattner’s blue line of when Trump’s birthright attacks began in earnst.

While Trump’s questions regarding Cruz’s eligibility likely had some influence in the first few days, the effect began to wane, going mostly flat in the week leading up to January 19th when Palin offered her endorsement of Donald Trump.

From the 19th on, we can see a sustained spike in Iowa voters affections for Trump, and a sharp decrease in support for Ted Cruz.

Watch ‘Morning Joe’ go into denial:

Cruz or Rubio will be fine choices.

Rubio is a BIG TIME pro-amnesty supporter (Gang of 8) whose parents were NOT citizens at his birth!

How in the heck can any Freeper with an IQ above plant life support Rubio since amnesty for the 40+ MILLION ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADERS would complete the destruction of America & our Constitution?

Then there's the Canadian anchor baby NOT born in US...

No, but her endorsement wasn’t meant for people who had already chosen, since those people tend to be politically aware.

It was for the average person who only looks at politics just before their primary.

I disagree. Completely.

Granted I have (always) supported Palin, so that this for the ravings of a partisan boob, but I believe Trump counters this.

Trump himself has completely neutralized the media bias in America. I believe (strongly) that applies equally to Palin, as his Vice President.

Now I admit, she would have been mercilessly pilloried by the press if she had run. She would not have won, and my support for her would have been a complete exercise in pointlessness.

But I would have supported her.

As Trump’s VP however, she becomes a Trump person, and he will completely defend her.

I completely believe that.

I am glad she did not run against Trump, actually.

:D

He is thinking about it anyway

The obvious question is how do you know that?

She lost her gig at FOX?

She lost her gig at FOX?

What in the world?

Fox is the problem. I have completely stopped watching the network.

Since the first debate.

Either works for me, doubt she’d get confirmed though. Honestly I think she’s been poisoned that badly. Sad, but true.

Rubio is my Senator and I'm glad he beat Charlie Crist...Crist would have been a disaster of epic proportions...

That being said, I'm extremely disappointed in Rubio with his gang of eight BS...

I have an IQ above room temp and would only vote for Rubio as the GOP candidate only to stop a Clinton or Sanders election...

Both would be several times more toxic to the country than a Rubio win, warts and all...

Fox is the problem.

Indeed they are. Let me tell you my story about Fox News.

Four and a half years ago, we kicked DirecTV out of our house and eliminated Satellite/Cable TV from our home. We went to over-the-air TV only and supplemented that with Netflix for our entertainment. Honestly, didn't miss Cable/Satellite TV at all after the first month.

Life was good, kicked all the negativity out of the home and saved $100/mo. in the process. (That's $5,400 in savings over four and a half years even AFTER paying for Netflix.)

Fast forward to present: Oldest son comes home from college after his first semester and complains our internet speed "sucks" compared to what he has in his dorm. I'm ok with upping the internet speed so I call Comcast. As "luck" would have it, spending $6/mo. more than current bill more than DOUBLED my internet speed and that included their second tier Cable TV package with a cable box.

Ok, so I have Cable TV again I think to myself. Great. I can watch Fox News again.

Wrong. What I saw on my TV said "Fox News" but it sure didn't look like the Fox News I thought I knew from four and a half years ago. Clearly the "no spin zone" had become a high speed centrifuge spinning uranium for the Iranians.

The rest of the line-up looked even worse!

Where did the "fair and balanced go?" I asked myself. It didn't take but about three hours of watching "Fox News" to see that it had become just like CNNABCNBCCBSMSNBC etc.. and wasn't worth my time.

Unplugged cable tv box, put it back in its packaging and stuck it in a corner behind the TV.

Faster internet speed YES, Cable TV and "Fox News" NO!

If I wanted to watch the liberal lamestream media news, I could get that over-the-air for free.

Fox News can go to hell. Oops, they're already there!

I guess you need some help here. It is called money. You know $$$$$$. Losing the fox deal was a 1.5 million/yr hit. Don’t know about the reality show. Her house in Phoenix was for sale for ? million. Royalties from books is gone and her PAC is nearly broke reportedly from her using it for luxury stuff like private jets, fancy hotels and expensive clothes.

To put it plainly, she needs the money that getting back into the spotlight will generate.

I think Palin is worth about what Obama is worth, something like 13 million I believe. At least that is what the site I saw said.

(that was a year or so ago)

She’s not hurting. Nor is Obama. Give it a rest.

Palin for Vice President. :D

That’s basically, what a lot of people said about my original support for Trump on this site.

Just saying.

I’m a huge Palin fan.

I believe that she wants the job(s) that she wants:

Sec. of Energy or Sec. of Interior. I’d love to see her at EPA btw, but....

I have long believed that DJT will bring Huckabee along as VP for these reasons:

1. They genuinely seem to get along. I might be mistaken, but I seem to remember Huckabee interviewing DJT on his show.

2. DJT will need someone nearby who can navigate the interplay between state and federal gov’t.

3. Huckabee is non-controversial and completely vetted. Even libs seem to think he’s a nice guy. God knows he had enough of them on his show.

4. It’s unlikely that anyone knows those scoundrels from Arkansas better than he does.

There are other reasons, but those are the ones that popped into my head.

Palin has also been fully vetted.

Just saying.

You’re quite right.

That said, for no good reason, Sarah is still thought to be polarizing and stupid. It’s completely false and unfair, of course, but it is what it is. I also do not think she would like to be a VP, btw. It would crimp her style and she likes making things happen. :)

Huckabee is vanilla with vanilla sauce on top.

I think you and I are simpatico, however. :)

All humans are fallible. Palin has endorsed McCain in the past and he claims she will endorse him in 2016 (please don’t)
There is no way I would vote for McCain. It makes me sad she doesn’t stop her support for him him, but I give her a pass on that one.

I don’t exactly know what a Vicepresident does, other than bring in electoral votes at election time. Her talents would be wasted as VP.
I want her in the cabinet as an executive.

I’ve seen posts claiming Trump will be a big government spender. I doubt it. Please put Sarah in a position to do some clean up and cost cuttting.

My memory is a little fuzzy, but didn’t she, after joining Alaska’s energy department, sent her boss and co-workers to jail for corruption? Wasn’t the prior governor indicted as well? Then she ran for governor and won. She started cost cutting, some famous non-important ones were to get rid of the staff cook, the governors airplane etc. And resulted in the first budget with a surplus in years? I think that’s how it went, and I hope she still has it.
A VP is just decoration. I want Sarah in a position of power where she can effect change, do some cost cutting and send some people to prison.

I don’t support them and am voting for Donald. Is it any wonder why with those two as second and third best choices?
Nonetheless people from the base seem to like these two so it’s practical thinking that they be the #2. Anybody but the Dem nominee is palatable after the last 8 years.
