There is a third way. We put cotton in our ears so we can't hear the shrieks of the MSM and the progressives and we kick the Muslims out. :-)

Good idea. Hasn't the government essentially violated the first amendment, in that they have unofficially established a state religion? Islam. It seems to enjoy government favors and protections that no one else has.

Two choices:

Speak up
or
Shut up.

The... Catholic Church is huge and we probably don’t want them actively involved in government.

Why not?

Nothing went wrong for 1600 years or so; did it?

An interesting question, this one is:
“The... Catholic Church is huge and we probably don’t want them actively involved in government.
Why not?

Depends on whether one agrees with the Inquisition. Stakes and faggots anyone?

Begone, Queers! I was referring to fire wood at the base of the stake.

There ya go. Islam has been elevated to a special status. I’d like to elevate it out of existence. :-)

Oh. No thank you.

There are many things that the Church did that were good and many things that weren’t.

For one: a theocracy is never a good thing. It gives flawed sinners too much power over the masses.

I am not into theocracy either, but flawed sinners like Obama, ALREADY have too much power over the masses.

Exactly. Good thing “checks and balances” were designed into our government structure. It is the foundation of our representative government.... which is slowly eroding (but that is for another topic).

The scoundrels cannot be trusted. It is human nature to be bad (and sin) and even good people can turn bad.

I prefer to let the scoundrels fight amongst themselves or be forced to compromise but it is never good for one entity (a Church, the POTUS, etc.) to have absolute power.
