Pikers.
Frackers have cut the price of petroleum by 2/3 and the price of natural gas by 80% since 2008.

"GE also noted that come 2017, it will be more difficult for CFLs to receive Energy Star ratings from the Environmental Protection Agency. Instead of letting the technology die slowly, the company is taking a hard line....â
The box of GE CFLs I bought in 2015 has "11.0 year life" printed on it. I cannot find where it is written, "discard after 2016." It probably wasn't a good marketing idea.

Hillary can set an example for us all by moving to Joe Arpaio's old Tent City In Phoenix. That's a low-carbon ass-print site for sure.
Welcome to Maricopa County

Clinton’s Falcon-900 N506BA (rented)
burns 4 gallons per mile.
part of that fuel burn is excess weight
from the hoist needed to
lift Clinton into the plane.

Why don’t we just make energy cheap and stop this zero sum game of trying to squeeze consumers?

I've said this since the 70's. Remember the odd-even gas rationing during the '73 Arab oil embargo?
Pump our own energy and cut OPEC completely out of the American market. Americans can still bet their money on all the other commodities but not oil and natural gas. Consider the country and the economy first. Who knows how it might have changed our foreign policy over the last 35 years.

Yeah, a Clinton plan will save money. Bwahahaha.
To: Pearls Before Swine
Somehow the $$$$ would end up in Clinton’s pocket.
To: Cincinatus' Wife
Only a small trickle would, but it would be a large amount.
That’s the way powerful Dems (and some GOP) roll. Think of Solyndra and other boondoggles... most of the money was flat-out wasted, but the backers did get some benefit. Or, of the contract to build the Obamacare website, which went to a company where Michelle had a friend who was a high officer. Or, of decisions made by Clinton which favored those who had contributed relatively minor amounts (compared to the benefit received) to the Clinton Foundation.

Why do Democrat plans for reducing energy waste always call for ME to spend more money?

expand appliance energy labeling as ways to reduce energy consumption.
WTF? Labels on appliances will reduce energy use? I’m sure that each one of us reads the label on our electric toothbrush every time we use it. I’m sure we all sit down at the breakfast table each morning and go through a ritual of reading all of the labels on all electrical appliances in the home so that we know how to use them in an energy saving manner.
WHAT A CROCK OF CRAP! How stupid does she think we are?

I actually like LEDs. Have been buying them on sale when I find them, little by little. Just bought some small LED strip lights to replace the old style bulb lights in our boat.
