CDC cautions women about drinking alcohol while not on birth control

The Center for Disease Control says that more than 3 million US women are at risk of exposing their developing baby to alcohol in a new study released yesterday. The CDC recommends women that are not on birth control stop drinking alcohol so they don't accidentally expose their child to alcohol.

According to the CDC about half of all US Pregnancies are planned, and most women do not know they are pregnant until they are 4-6 weeks into the pregnancy. While, 3 in 4 women who want to get pregnant as soon as possible report drinking alcohol. This can cause women who are pregnant expose their baby to to alcohol without knowing it.

Uh, how about everyone stop consuming alcohol? It is known to destroy brain cells.

Babies born with Alcohol Syndrome have a real problem, however a woman has to drink a lot over the whole pregnancy in order for the baby to be affected adversely.

But what gets me is that they are insistent that women shouldn't do stuff that could possibly harm their baby, but then convince them that abortion is the best option.

They’re also scaring women with an unplanned pregnancy into considering abortion, even when alcohol is way below any reasonable threshhold of harm.

I’m pregnant. I’ve had a mimosa (Christmas morning) and a small red wine on my birthday. Pretty sure my baby is just a-ok.

This to me smells like a method to peddle abortions.

Weekly consumption in the US:

a third of the people do not drink
a third of the people have fewer than one drink a week
the next 10% have 2 drinks a week
the next 10% have about 1 drink a day
the next 10% have about 2 drnks a day
the last 10% have 73 drinks a week

I’d say that only one of these groupings really needs to be concerned!

Um, yeah. I am so sick of the powers that apparently rule the world using their media to say things that don’t have good evidence.

If you read this article from Time magazine, there are two different sentences where they admit there is no scientific evidence linking Zika to microcephaly. They have nothing. Yet all over the world this “news” is broadcast as fact.

I's been known for decades that light - moderate drinking reduces risk of coronary heart disease (CHD), total and ischaemic stroke and total mortality (all causes) in middle-aged and elderly men and women.

Alcohol also has a specific protective effect against hematological malignancies, and reduces in-hospital deaths following traumatic injuries such as fractures, internal injuries and open wounds, with in some cases a reduction of almost 50 percent in hospital mortality rates.

I'm not advocating that non-drinkers start drinking, and that present drinkers double it.

I'm just saying that, like so many things, alcohol has both risks and benefits.

One glass of wine won't hurt you or your baby, even early in pregnancy. And if you're a nursing mother, beer is a highly milk-friendly nutrient tonic. Truth.

That’s the brilliant part; they’re trying to breed/engineer the perfect race. Hence, kill as many negro and other “inferior” class babies before they are born and get on welfare.

I'm actually fairly satisfied with my dear old brain despite occasional Senior Moments^TN.

I still drink the occasional beer (Pabst Blue Ribbon) for its healthy calculolytic properties. I glugged one down in the hospital a year ago, with my doctor's blessing, when I was fighting some bad, bad complications from kidney stones.

Choice: beer or kidney stones? Pass the Pabst!

Some brain cells need to be killed. For instance, I have almost no recall of personal wrongs/insults directed toward me. My memory just doesn't even attach to that. Those brain cells volunteer, smiling, for timely apoptosis.
