Would you trust him more if he was a high school drop out? Married someone he could not introduce in public? Had zero experience in the law and parliamentary procedure? I think Sheila Jackson Lee may be your guy. (Of course I am just ribbing you. Please don’t take it as an insult.)

Nope. Don’t believe you. You may be sincere. But you are sincerely wrong.

EVERY conservative rating has Cruz at the top. Go do a search. There are several. He is consistently 93-100%. No one else has such a track record. He said what he was going to do and he did it.

He fought alone or nearly alone on a number of issues. He took the brunt of the leftwing personal attacks AND the betrayal of the GOPe, and never backed down.

There is an all out attack on Cruz BECAUSE he is not part of the uniparty. He is enemy number one of Planned Parenthood, Democrats, and the GOPe. You are being manipulated. Don’t fall for it.

I was getting all worked up and preparing to do my searches and post links to back up my argument, then I just grew tired of your “I’m just naive” and “maybe I belong over at DU”.

I made some of those same comments to other posters and they were childish and unbecoming. I’m not gonna chage your mind. Your not gonna change mine with what you’ve given me. This whole thing is a circular firing squad.

Sometimes the tone and intention gets lost in text only conversations. Sometimes things are said in the heat of an argument that go too far. We’re only human.

I fully agree with you on that. Conservatives really need to pull together and find common ground.

Things were very civil on this forum as far as the presidential race until Cruz and Trump started going at each other. Then things started to heat up. And they have gotten worse.

I think if Trump and Cruz bury the hatchet it will help. I hope that happens sooner rather than later. I really, really do not want Yeb or Rubio as the nominee. I am pretty sure we agree on that.

From now on, I am going to do my best to not take it personally when the more conservative candidates are attacked.
