Something unsaid here is if the defector is real, how “protected” is his identity/location considering the significant number of pro-Communist (Red Chinese, Castro, etc) officials and advisors there are in the State Dept, White House (Anita Dunn) and possibly other govt agencies.
Just think back to the Clinton/Loral/Red China satellite information debacle, the GE deals with Peking, the number of Red Chinese citizens in our industries and universities, and even one or two Red Chinese supporters in Congress and local/state govt bodies (NY City council, Democrat Representative Judy Chu (D-Cal)., and possibly the Oakland mayor (or former mayor) Quan.).
If the CIA can keep defector Ling away from the White House and any Democrat member of Congress, not to mention some of the pro-Peking clique in the State Department, he might be protected from kidnapping or assassination.
However, I remember in the past that some Democrat mentioned a defector’s name in a non-secure setting and he ended up dead. This was long ago, but given the Obama record of not protecting our sources/translators in Iraq and Afghanistan/Pakistan (i.e. the doctor who helped us get Bin Laden - he’s still in a Pak jail), and the partial collapse of our internal security system, I don’t trust this administration to protect a piece of bread.
[Note: I know that there are a lot of great patriots in the Intell community and even in the State Dept., but Obama has so poisoned their leadership that I just don’t trust anyone in the leadership positions. Some are incompetent; others are Obama asskissing leftists (Robert Malley, for one, the son of a KGB operative) and therefore, where I come from, security risks].
Thanks for the post. Bumping back to the top.
Bump
Yeah, well, not once Hillary emailed about it.
I see what you mean. Thanks.
