I think Ben is a decent man but I’ve lost respect over him because of this whining.

Ditto. Well, partly the whining, but mostly the hypocrisy of that one interview where he's complaining that Cruz doesn't take responsibility for what Cruz people do, while denying any responsibility for what Carson people do. Someone needs to sit Carson down, make him watch his own interview, and say, "This is what you've come to." Maybe that'd wake him up.

As was pointed out elsewhere, Carson got 9.3% of the vote in the caucuses, on the high end of the range in which he was polling going in (polls ranging from 6% to 10%, mostly in the 7% to 8% range), so the passing on of CNN’s rumor doesn’t seem to have actually swayed very many from Carson to Cruz or anyone else.

Please read the actual article. CNN was tweeting contradictory things at the same time. Most of the information coming out of CNN was still sounding like Carson was doing some type of at least temporary suspension of his campaign until well into the caucus.

This whole thing proves why the GOP is called “The Stupid Party”.

"There was nothing wrong with telling Iowa caucus voters to not waste their vote on Carson."

Sure, tell people to switch their votes based on a 'LIE'!

It's called deceit!

This type of thinking belongs in the Democrat party.

I have lost my respect for Ted Cruz!

We’re going to have to put half of FR on suicide watch when their Dear Leader self-immolates...and, oh wow, is it coming.

Have you read the article, it has a very detailed timeline of what the Cruz campaign sent out and when? At the time that the Cruz campaign was communitcating with their caucus captains CNN was still actively reporting that Carson was going home to FL and not continuing on to NH and SC but would instead attend a prayer breakfast in DC later this week. CNN’s anchors commented that this was a very significant story and that this was not the behavior of someone who was seriously running for president. This was not a lie since the Cruz campaign thought they simply were informing the voters of breaking news.

There are always those within the GOP who reside outside the true core of conservatism, and throw in with whoever the latest campaign conservative happens to be, always declaring that they won’t get fooled again, and then shout the loudest when their candidate stabs them in the back shortly after taking office.

No, I’m pretty certain it’s the actual conservatives that get stabbed in the back. Not the hangers on.

Please, keep harping on this. You're not hurting Cruz and you're not helping your guy, so please, keep it up!

Will do.

Sure, tell people to switch their votes based on a 'LIE'!

OK, obviously you have a reading comprehension difficulty or other disability. Please explain again, what is the lie?

Is Carson campaigning in New Hampshire or South Carolina?

Did Carson take a few days off from his campaigning?

Did Carson lay off a good chunk of his campaign staff and slash salaries of other staffers today?

Gee, based on that - it kinda does sound like voting for Carson in Iowa was a wasted vote!

Look, I do hold the Cruz staffers accountable for their actions on Monday night.

They should have been telling anyone who would listen that voting for Trump in Iowa was a wasted vote!!!

I wouldn’t paint Gov. King Korn Branstad as a neutral observer. His son is a major corn/ethanol lobbyist.

I don’t. I am in the camp that thinks Caucus goers are not sheep. They vote for their guy even if the other guy says not to.

And a point of fact: In 2005, we were three years away from Emperor obama being forced on us. He would have to be dead solid psychic to see that coming.
