There’s still too many of them and I’m not so sure they’re going to get knocked out any time soon as long as they can ‘show their face in the debates’.....as Carson did tonight, who I think is looking for face time, a political pay off, and his campaign to still take in funding even though he’s done and he knows that. His team quit until he hauled back some of them...he really doesn’t have a campaign doing much at all except “book him” for the face time he covets.

Cruz I have no concerns about.....his ground game is very focused and specific....and his team outstanding. I agree with you that if he does ok Tuesday some donors will start moving toward him....Carsons have and some others....but it’s still early so we shall see.....March is coming!

It’s a group page. Let me check the name. I honestly don’t know the official name off hand.

"Cruz was letter perfect as always."

Letter perfect -- and far deeper than the others. His answer are so much more thoroughly thought out that many folks miss many of the relevant details. For example, how many caught -- or even had a chance of understanding -- his advocacy of the use of tilt-rotor aircraft on the border?

You can see the effect even here on FR: the intelligent, educated, and thoughtful prefer Cruz.

The median IQ, uneducated, and superficial prefer Trump. (as proven by the cheap shots and graphics posted on this thread).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cruz's problem is that we have a dumbed-down, superficial electorate (and sadly, FR populace), nowadays. Those who can fully appreciate his prowess are well out on the + tail of the distribution.
So, we may wind up with a scowling rabble-rouser, rather than a brilliant statesman, as President...
That makes sense, that Trump was the only one ready to take flak for trying to 'improve' an area. Indeed, never been to AC but the publicity hit was bad.
A very crooked town crawling with intrigues and power clashes, so as the outsider he was the fall guy for a lot of it. It was probably the worst deal of his entire life, top to bottom. I notice he has never gone in for any of that gambling and sleaze ever again. Now it's luxury apartments, offices, golf, tennis and swimming resorts,, and even historic land configurations, like improving the railyards in NYC, the ice rink, stabilizing the dunes on the edge of Doonesbury, that sort of thing.
I, however, am going to be Thankful there are still people willing to think for themselves
Wow, right out of the left's playbook.
Obama, Ryan, McConnel, "That's not who we are" or "We're better than that".
Yes, but can the State pay 3 or 4 times a property’s value if the property is needed for a project that will improve the State, opportunities for citizens, and so on, due to the benefitting private party(s)’s growth, benefit, increased tax remittances, etc. ?? This is not a simple issue, as much as you or even I might like it to be...
I’m on a pro-Trump Fb group page (that has THOUSANDS of members) that one of my friends added me to...I go in there every once in a while to lurk around, but I never post. I just went in there after the debated and WOW. They are pissed at Trump. I’m in total shock that they’re in total shock. I counted 8 people within a few minutes who said that last cheap shot at cruz did it for them. Not because they like cruz necessarily but they are sick of the childishness. One even said “I like his outspoken attitude, but now he’s just coming across as a bully. Another person said they they’ve hung on long enough. They can’t keep pretending like his bullying and rude ways are ok. Another one said it’s one thing to be aggressive when trying to get stuff done and get results or when defending yourself, but to keep on when Cruz never even barked his direction reminded her if her abusive ex boyfriend.
It was interesting. I’m not gonna lie, I enjoyed the meltdown.
Contrary to popular belief, length of post ads little to the credibility of content.
"It would be great to see Cruz do well in NH."
NH is a left-leaning state and has a semi-open primary. If Cruz lands in the top 3, it will be a miracle.
I don’t know their motives. I don’t know much about them, as I only have one friend on the page, I think. I do know that every time I’ve been in there, which honestly isn’t much, they’ve drunk the Trump koolaid. They do have a few trolls that they let hang around...
he does not explain his busienss techniques because he is so accustomed to working to specifications with teams of engineers. He is an executive and decision maker who sets policy and gets the best people to carry it out. He has explained before that he is not going to bog down in the campaign with senatorial minutiae. He wants to succeed and he has succeeded because he knows how to plan, assemble all necessary input and the right experts and move an initiative ahead in phases. You have to remain flexible. Why would you even want to have the president be a micromanager? You want a great leader and cultivator of talent who empowers people to solve problems. He has demonstrated that over and over in his career.
Concur. Jimmy Dhimmi Carter was a notorious micromanager.
Cruz's problem is he's not a billionaire yet needs millions to run. It's the system, he has to take money therefore owes the wrong people. Showed up with TPA, in his waffling with amnesty, even his desperation with the Carson thing.
Cruz has been running as an outsider but sadly he's stuck on the inside.
Boy Rubio got spanked tonight.
Is there anyone who feels confident that if Rubio ever had to deal with Putin one on one, that the U.S. would come out on top?
Of all the candidates on stage tonight, he is the only one that I would not want to see deal with Putin. Putin would eat him up and spit him out.
I saw the CNN video of Carson's "highly unusual" behavior-It was CNN speculating that Carson might be getting out of the race- based on Carson's OWN PEOPLE telling CNN he was leaving Iowa and not going to NH plus a "big announcement later".
Any campaign who saw that would think Carson was getting out.
Total lie that Cruz did anything wrong. Not to mention- Where are all the voters complaining about the "hanging chads" er the Carson news changed their vote?
Anyway Cruz won the debate and I continue to pray that Ted Cruz will be our next president
Trump would have more money today than he does if he has put his inheritance in an index fund. The stock market is smarter than Trump.
What he now has is real stuff. What the stock market has is paper stuff. When the next crash comes, and it is coming, Donald will still have real stuff, plus an income stream, however reduced, from those who haven't jumped out of his upper story windows. Meantime, he presently has a yuge income stream from the enormous number of residences and office spaces he has built or manages. While you have a talking point from the internet with no real knowlege to understand how it was calculated to look bad by a biased journalist.
I'm no Rubio shill. Check my posts, I voted for Rand Paul here in Iowa. (for all the good that that did!). But I think Rubio was right, despite the beatdown he took from Christie.
0bama is not incompetent. He is doing exactly what he said he was going to do, tearing down the country to match his twisted worldview, which is that the US is not a beacon of good in the world.
To some, it may appear that 0bama is incompetent in his dealings with Iran, or running the VA, or whatever. But none of this should come as a surprise. It is what he campaigned on.
I don't get the piling on Rubio here. Just because we don't like 0bama doesn't mean he hasn't been successful in his goals. I think that is the point Rubio was trying to make.
But for whatever reason, Rubio didn't communicate that well. And Christie kicked the crap out of him.
