He’d make a good AG for the Trump administration
Marco “Speedy Gonzalez” Rubio.
LOL, what a total lie against Cruz. The ONLY candidate who didn’t pander to the ethanol lobby in Iowa and he will somehow “do anything to win?” Cruz stands on principle. And he clearly explained he had no idea what his staff was doing when they passed on CNN’s report about Carson.
Even Brit Hume said Trump won. Shocker.
I’m starting to think the establishment should’ve gone all in on Fiorina. She’s been far more consistent in these debates than the current 3 establishment headliners.
Not everyone posts articles because they AGREE with them. Many post articles so that we all can discredit those articles.
Mario Rubco has always been the fast talking fake he appeared last night.
He is very good at memorizing canned answers and delivering them.
He is as sincere as The Ususrper.
That is a shocker. Hume works for The Cheap Labor Express
I listened to that part of the debate. Christie defended himself well, and scored points for himself. No doubt that overall it helped all the other candidates as well, but to presume that Christie and Trump KNEW Rubio would screw up and have a plan where Christie would do the dirty work for Trump would require that Trump and Christie were gifted psychics.
Which would be hypocritical as Rubio kept attacking Christie.
Aww, that was about the same prediction before Iowa. I am of the belief that Trump is going to underperform his poll numbers in every primary. And the longer he goes, the more he will rub people the wrong way with his trash mouth.
Christie is waiting for Donald to drop a tuna in his mouth as a reward...
“Who reprogrammed the Rubiobot into an endless looping subroutine?”
He sounded like one of those Chatty Cathy dolls who would say one of 5 or 6 recorded messages when you pulled the string in her back. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Rubio had chanted, “Brush my hair.”
Even though I voted for Rubio in 2010, I am not a current supporter.
That being said I was not overly concerned to hear Rubio repeat the statement about Obama knowing exactly what he is doing.
We have far too many somewhat conservative people who believe Obama is really stupid. But look at Obama’s track record during his seven years to ‘fundamentally transform’ America. Obama has accomplished more than even he himself ever expected.
So I had no problem with Rubio mentioning Obama knows exactly what he is doing several times.
I try to listen to these debates through the eyes of a person who is not a political junkie like those of us who write our brilliant comments on Free Republic. (sarc)
OK... I hope I don’t think of the pacifier picture in church today. I’ll have to walk out to stop laughing.
I give GS credit. Now he's interviewing hillary, then Sanders. We know his bias, but as an interviewer, he's got factual support to his questions, he's tough, but fair.
It was obvious (and awkward) at the end Cruz was alone. Even Bush and Trump shook hands. I know some will think it’s a good thing, but politics by nature, whether we like it or not, is partly being able to get people to come to your side. It’s easier to have that happen if you’re at least somewhat likeable.
Same thing Obama says about what his staff says, or what Congress or the Senate did, or what ANYONE in his administration does that gets caught.
"I didn't know about this until I read it in the newspapers."
(I'm not trying to attack Cruz with this, just saying that you might want to reconsider using that as an 'argument')
“”His “leadership” is designed to bring down the country, and it’s working. He DOES know what he’s doing.””
I was surprised that Trump failed to get it...unless he just wanted to be contrary. What obozo has done and is doing to the country is deliberate - he’s not incompetent as Trump said.
I was impressed by Rubio last night for the first time. Count on me to be out of step with everyone else, I guess. His repeated lines were a drag and ridiculous but he settled down and did a good job of answering for the rest of the debate IMO.
I couldn’t believe that Carson spoke only twice in the 2 hours that I watched...I may have dozed off but that’s all I saw before I turned it off. Not fair at all.
Other candidates, including Christie, repeated 'things' several times. However, they were smart enough to word them differently each time, whereas Rubio repeated them as if he were reading the same 'canned speech' off a script (which is exactly what Christie said he was doing).
Besides, if you listen to the debate, that 'canned speech' response had nothing to do with the conversation/debate going on between him and Christie.
