"You can find all sorts of information at National Audubon, National Wildlife Federation, National Resource Defense Council - all commissioned studies -showing that if we don't take drastic steps to reduce the impacts of climate change, that we will lose up to 50 percent of the global species in our generation," Anderson said.

Three organizations you can always count on to tell you the truth. As long as you make a contribution to fund their "research" programs. Oh, and take care of some meager overhead costs as well.

Well they said "up to", just like saving "up to XX%" of your car insurance. For me, that number is zero, but that's included in "up to".

What they are really worried about is losing "up to" 100% of their grant money.

Kinda like the “SAVE UP TO 50%” on your next whatever and you end up with the scratch off that only save you 5%. LOL! I reeally, really, really don’t like these people. Sadly, there are a lot of UPOS/IPOS/LPOS/SPOS who buy this bile lock, stock and barrel.

Wind energy has caused climate change. The windmills have pushed the earth off its proper axis:). Makes as much sense as anything else.

NONE of these alarmist predictions have or ever will come true.

Mankind does not have the ability to impact global climate.

Unless somehow wind power may be harnessed WITHOUT the use of whirling blades, it shall forever be a niche source of power, to be used in distant locations where both the the wind flow is relatively constant, and the chances of interacting with flying wildlife are minimal.

For reliable base-line power generation, the use of Thorium-fueled Molten Salt reactors has a HUGE number of advantages over wind power. For one thing, it can run at flat-out maximum output day and night, relying not at all on daily fluctuations of temperature and/or air movement, and for another, the energy source may be placed in relatively close proximity to the point of consumption, WITHOUT the use on long-distance transmission lines.

The only thing they will lose without "drastic steps" is funding.

You may be on to something. After all, Liberal Democrat, Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson believes that sending Marines to Guam will tip the Island over.

Interesting concern, since Windfarms are hacking thousands of Eagles and hundreds of thousands of Bats to death each year.

I have never believed in global warming or cooling caused by humans. These desperate alarmists have been around since the middle of the last century or longer.

I do believe in climate change though. It's called the weather and it is what causes our four seasons of the year. The climate has never been "static" so climate "change" has been a normal part of the earth's life forever.

These pleas that "if we don't do something NOW, we'll all die!" have lost their ring. The boy who cried wolf. Intelligent people don't believe their predictions of doom anymore. Why? Because none of them have ever come to be.

These climate alarmists remind me of the "flat earthers" back before Columbus sailed west and discovered the Americas. They had people convinced that the earth was flat and you could fall off the edge of it if you traveled too far from known civilizations.

I have learned to ignore all of this climate change nonsense and yet I still am responding to items in the news about it. I do believe that these cries to "do something" are not about climate at all. But the radical Left's ploy to rid the world of fossil fuels, which would destroy capitalism as we know it. And then replace it with a socialist/communist system to control the world's people and resources.

Nice work if you can get it I guess....

To these “Wackos”, the wiping out of the EAGLES and the decimation of bats are merely a “slightly unfortunate” collateral event.
However, if YOU happen to pick up, while walking in the west, a fallen eagle feather, you are in direct violation of “endangered species” protection laws. And are you ever in trouble.
Considering what the continent looked like the day the Pilgrims arrived, it is possible the very existence of this country violates EVERY environmental law.

I thought the wind energy you were referring to was his vocal cords.

Oh, it was windmills....
