Excellent post. Unfortunately FR has become an extremely intolerant place. I am personally capable of listening to someone I don’t agree with 100% of the time. And I am also capable of voting for someone I don’t agree with on everything. I guess that makes me a RINO.

Is the definition of a certified RINO now anyone who disagrees with some of the Freepers on this blog?

That's how it has come to here. And that's not a good thing.

With such stringent requirements it becomes obvious to me that the reason why liberalism and socialism is advancing so rapidly is that conservatives cannot get together on a candidate without throwing a hissy fit and staying home.

Yep. smh...

You betcha. The Obama/Jarrett administration is a disaster for America.

The bottom line for Rush is the concept that Obama is intentionally damaging the USA. Rubio is the one candidate that came out and said exactly that (however unartfully), so Rush obviously would want to defend Rubio. Rubio’s probably the only guy that actually read Alinsky. Obviously Chris Christie, the Blubbering Boy on the Beach, never did.

So, the whole point he was making was lost on you after several paragraphs of explanation? Just wondering what you thought about the ideas Rush was expressing i.e., supporting an idea that is true regardless of who expresses it?

I suppose we are not about the issues anymore, only the personalities - we don’t seem to be able to separate one from the other.

Except that you know the issue being discussed to which Rush is responding was not the amnesty issue, so good deflection for a person who refuses to argue an issue.

I’ll come back to this later. I don’t want to get involved in anything right now. I have some things coming up that will prevent me from spending significant time on one issue right now.

I interpret it as Rush saying that he defended people “who publicly articulate” “the ideas I have,” in this instance, the idea is that Obama is acting intentionally, and the person who articulated it was Rubio.

Then Rush goes on to say, “Even if they might have a credibility problem here or there.”

Given that Rush was defending Rubio, the biggest credibility problem Rubio has is Gang of 8.

And the phrase “problem here or there’ minimizes it.

But the reason he is discussing it is the idea - can you not separate an idea from the speaker?

Rubio is a snake oil salesman among other things. The first thing he did when he got to DC was start working with the Democrats before his shirt touched his back. What ticks me off with him is that I was dumb enough to vote for him. But I have a motto: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Granted what you say is true. I don’t like him either.

But Rush was making a different point. Why does it always have to be inferred that because Rubio said something good once that Rush supports him, or that the only response is that Rubio sucks?

Once in a while I like to see the issue.

I was just giving my printable opinion of Rubio. Rubio says a lot of things people want to/like to hear. All con men do, else they could not con the sheep. And for sure, he conned me.

I may have to or decide to lengthen my Rush hiatus.

Something happened here with Rush & Rubio. It’s not to my liking.

The whole point he was making was that Obama is some clever guy who is implementing his plan, and being quite successful at it.

As Rush pointed out, nobody is objecting. The Republicans are so happy they perform their job like a lady of the night, and then forget to charge.

This is all well and good, but what the people forget is this. They think Obama is quite clever. He knows exactly what he is doing.

Is that true? No. He has no idea what he is doing.

He’s doing it to the nation. He’s doing it to us. He’s doing it to the world. He’s doing it to his own daughters.

If he gets his way, his own daughter’s genitalia will be surgically altered so they can’t enjoy sex. They will be treated like cattle. They may be only one of many wives. They could be stoned for being raped. They could be beaten or worse for uncovering their face. They could be killed by other followers of Islam for some miner infraction, that is justified by Sharia Law.

Christianity is being destroyed here. We are in abeyance, while Islam is being taught in our schools. Any trimmings of Christianity is being removed from the nation.

Yes, this Obama guy is implementing what he wants, and yet doesn’t even really know how it impacts his own children’s future.

He can’t grasp that we are becoming more vulnerable by the day to other nations what want us destroyed. He thinks he’s making the place better.

He isn’t.

So I have no high praise for the guy. I don’t congratulate him for being so clever. Any man that will sell out his nation, sell out his fellow citizens, sell out his own two girls, create a destabilized situation so that the whole world is in chaos...

This is not a smart man. This is an incredibly ignorant man who has been allowed to do what he wants. Brilliant. I can walk to store because nobody stops me. Does that make me brilliant?

Obama is a very misguided man, too stupid to grasp what he is doing will usher in.

Humanity in eight years is on the verge of global war. Obama thinks that’s just peachy. Brilliant? Capable? Smart? A great leader? A clever guy?

No.

He doesn’t know what he is doing. He thinks he is making the world a better place. He is tearing it down around his own family.

This is one of the least intelligent people the world has seen.

Even our enemies on the Left have some limits to what they will do. This man has none.

I will not compliment him by saying he knows exactly what he is doing. He certainly does not.

He is consummately ignorant. I will never pay a man like that a compliment, as if the achieving of evil is somehow something you admire in someone.

Nope.

I appreciate your point of view and thank you for saying so clearly. It is the discussion of this issue which I think is so important, and it should not be minimized because someone that is not in favor brings the issue up.

Personally, I find it difficult, though not impossible, to believe with all of the smart people in Washington, someone is not trying to stop Obama, whether it is because he is stupid or because of some grand design.

The threat is there regardless, as is the success of his efforts.

Obama’s policies, including invasion by immigration, must be stopped.
