SHOCK: Ford Makes Massive Announcement - Trump Was Right About Everything
Conservative Tribune ^ | 2/10/2016

Posted on 02/10/2016 5:42:19 PM PST by BlackFemaleArmyColonel

One of the cornerstones of Donald Trump's campaign has been the fact that millions of jobs have been lost to overseas industries because it is often too expensive to do business in America anymore.

Many liberals have criticized Trump for these statements, but the Wall Street Journal recently reported that Ford's latest production move showed that Trump was exactly right.

Ford planned to build a new assembly plant in Mexico in order to produce 500,000 more vehicles in Mexico than it currently does. Last year Ford's Mexican output was 433,000 vehicles, which translates to about 14 percent of its total production in North America. This deal had not been publicly confirmed and a Ford spokesperson simply stated, "We do not comment on speculation," when asked about the company's plans for Mexico. Mexico has become a serious competitor in the car-making market with "low wages, improved logistics and an arsenal of free-trade deals," the Wall Street Journal explained.

If the report proves true, Ford will join a long line of auto dealers making the pivot to Mexico, including BMW, General Motors, Volkswagen, Toyota, Honda and Kia. This shift is only expected to grow because the United Auto Workers labor union recently struck a deal to increase wages for U.S. factory workers, making domestic production just that much more cost-prohibitive. As wages in the U.S. go up, Mexican wages stay the same, and it therefore becomes even cheaper to do business with Mexican factory workers as opposed to American laborers.

The UAW insisted that auto companies don't need to run to Mexico because they can afford to pay their workers high wages. "They're making huge amounts of profits," UAW President Dennis Williams stated. "There is no reason mathematically to go ahead and run to countries like Mexico, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam."

Smash the unions.

Low IQ Assembly line workers in the USA make too much.

Better all cars made in USA and 10 times as many jobs paying a little less, but still enough to be ECONOMICALLY VIABLE.

“The UAW insisted that auto companies don’t need to run to Mexico because they can afford to pay their workers high wages.”

Using liberal math, I’m sure.

I prefer that “change” not occur within a few weeks of a candidacy announcement. The problem is that he has continued to “evolve” depending on poll numbers.

Trump is brilliant. I can’t believe he just said this a week ago at most and now already we are seeing he is the one who knew it would happen. Cruz didn’t know anything about it. How on Earth could we vote for Cruz when he is clueless about this fairly easy issue as you say.

Key sentence:

Mexico has become a serious competitor in the car-making market with "low wages, improved logistics and an arsenal of free-trade deals," the Wall Street Journal explained.

THIS is what Trump's talking about. "Free trade deals" is globalist-speak for trade deals that screw America. Left-wingers who do this work---the US Department of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce, World Trade Organization, and other NGOs, Wall Street Banks, Silicon Valley, etc., believe the USA needs to be brought down to the level of the other countries which these left-wingers see as having been the victims of the USA, and that victimization the source of America's success. These people infest our corporations, all of whom work with the WTO and with the Dept of Commerce to put together crony capitalist trade deals, then sell them to America like NAFTA. They infest federal policy making--Heidi Cruz was chief creator of "free trade" as free trade "advisor" under GWB in the White House, working with World Bank and Goldman Sachs president Robert Zoellick, which has resulted in the "free trade" monster that is bringing the country down to third world standards of living and wage rates.

And with TPP coming, you ain't seen nothing yet.

We are honestly sunk with anyone running other than Trump.

This election is the big one about the biggest of all issues, the very existence of the USA: U.S. Globalists/U.S. Elites vs. U.S. patriots/Western nationalists.

With no borders we have no country. We must defeat the Globalists/Elites before we do anything else. Fact of life.

1. our jobs are being exported by the hundreds of thousands to foreign or overseas production sites in foreign countries like Mexico and Communist China, etc.
AND
2. remaining jobs within USA are all going to foreigners who Obama/Congress have brought, or let in here... open borders, taxpayer-subsidized importation of Islamonazis, H1-b visas galore, and simply tons of foreigners who come to “vacation” or “study” here and then who stay a lifetime

3. Zero net new jobs to American workers in last 7 years. s

Obama isn’t solely responsible for inflicting all this damage to America and American workers........Congress is complicit enabling him do it to us!

I agree with you. This is not Ford’s fault. This is the federal government’s fault. It is due to over taxation, over regulation, and a refusal to control their own spending. Their malfeasance has made labor in the US overpriced. They have shown by their actions that this country is not their primary concern. Had it been, they would have long ago reduced their spending and the tax burden to a point where it is preferable to employ Americans than it is to outsource to foreign countries. America first. America is not even in the federal government’s top 10.
