Funny how Trump spent the previous fall battling the GOPe candidates, while Cruz avoided them.

The reason why Jeb is almost out was due to Trump sticking his neck out.

But now the Cruz Crew wants to say Trump is about nothing?

Because they are fleeing into the arms of the perceived strongman, even though he has no record to back up his claims, and what record he does have goes COMPLETELY THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

Well, ahem.

NOBODY else has a "record to back up his claims" either. cruise yammered, but accomplished nothing. Trump has a record of success: at least give him a chance.

Maybe, but I've just checked my Twitter Feed, and here are a few highlights on the first day of campaigning in South Carolina:

Trump's Political Advisor, Dan Scavino has retweeted a link to a Newsweek article raising doubts about Cruz's eligibility... so I think we're going to see a return of the Canadian strategy.

Mike Huckabee hits Cruz for "low-life sleezy politics." Huckabee, for all his poor polling this year, was a force to be reckoned with in prior elections in South Carolina, and no doubt has connections that matter.

Jeb Bush is aggressively pursuing Christie's donor base.

"W" is coming to campaign in South Carolina, and he is a pretty popular figure here.

Attack ads are already running on television.

People, remember these guys just got into the state TODAY. And already things are heating up.

Free Republic is going to be a zoo for the next 9 days.

Because they believe to love him is to know him.

The Cruz Crew serves up another nothing burger.

How many “activity points” do you log on your Cruz Crew app for posting this stuff?

How many more “activity points until you earn a bumper sticker?

Good ol’ Ted, using the Obama app tio motivate low info voters by turning social media and blog posts a video game.

How special.

Obama’s slogans were not empty platitudes at all. He hoped to change the country and move it closer to communist dictatorship. And that is what he spent his presidency doing. So Hope and Change and fundamentally transform were not empty platitudes at all.

Moreover, Obama’s record demonstrated that his words were not platitudes either. He was raised by communists, his mentor was a Soviet agent who took orders from Joseph Stalin, and he sought out communist mentorship and communist alliances for his entire life leading up to the presidency.

What we need is someone as hardcore, as educated, and single-mindedly focused as Barack Obama, but going in the opposite direction. Someone who believes in American exceptionalism with a religious fervor that burns as bright as the noonday sun. Someone who will send all the cockroaches who currently occupy every level of our government scurrying back into the shadows where they belong.

That man is Ted Cruz.

“And what do you think is going to happen in the Bible Belt states”

Because just like blacks will automatically vote for anything with tan skin, anyone that has ever gone to church will vote for Cruz, because....jesus, right?

You are hoping for some sort of theocratic version of identity politics because you think Christians myopically vote for anyone that does the best southern twang and the smoothest Joel Osteen impression.

Apparently you think people in the “bible belt” are as stupid as leftist think.

I would think you'd question why “Conservative” Trump would do so well in a Liberal state.....right along with a Socialist taking his lead. Could it be they both represent the Liberal mindset prevalent there?

You and your cadre of die-hard Trumpet twits reveal yourselves insufferable fools.....

This comes under the category of attacking fellow FReepers rather than debating ideas.

A 97%-100% conservative/pro-liberty voting record speaks for itself. It means Ted Cruz has remained true to his conservative principles where so many others have become just like the very Washington Cartel they railed against when they were running for office.

....”anyone that has ever gone to church will vote for Cruz, because....jesus, right?”.......

No not right......But make no mistake Christians can and do know and understand what a Conservative is, and just as much those who aren’t Conservative who are pretending that they are.

Not at all. Ted Cruz is rebuilding the Reagan Coalition. He says the data shows they are still out there. This means bringing together evangelicals, liberty voters, national security conservatives, and Reagan democrats together. If successful, Ted won’t have to go after the same voters as the rest of the field, and he won’t have to move to the “mushy middle” once he is nominated.

Trump on the other hand, is already saying he is going to be a totally different candidate if he gets the nomination. Not a good sign...not a good sign at all.

That is a CNN lie, and Donald Trump (and his followers) keep repeating it:

And what do you think is going to happen in the Bible Belt states? Ted’s going to mop the floor with Trump. It’s over for Trump down there

I think Trump is going to win SC and virtually every southern state. He might even Texas.

You obviously paying attention to the polls. Trump leads in most southern states. His lead in RCP is 16 in SC before his win in NH.

Trump can’t construct a sentence with more than five or six words

How did he manage to graduate from an Ivy League school and build a $10 billion business?

A 97%-100% conservative/pro-liberty voting record speaks for itself.

A 97%-100% conservative/pro-liberty voting record means nothing.

Hildi is pro-Goldman Sux. He lied on his election financial reports. Nobody likes him. He won't get anything but the low information-conservative vote. No independents. No crossovers. Nothing.

Face it: cruise has NO PATH to the presidency.
