Four people held out for 40 some days at the Oregon wildlife reserve until last night many FBI and States and whomever, amassed around the reserve to remove the protesters
They refused to leave, but fearing an ambush, they decided to move outside so they could be seen
A live feed picked them up last night and many of us were glued to the internet listening to a negotiated stand-off
Rep Fiore from Nevada teamed upwith Franklin Graham to help negotiate a peaceful end
Three of the four left earlier this morning, but one ... David ... refused on principle
He had a gun to his head (so he said) and a lot of people were involved with trying to get him to leave
He finally demanded all the FBI and police force outside shout "HALLELUIA" ... which THEY DID ! ... and he just walked out

I’m glad it ended peacefully and while I respect people who assert their rights and engage in protests against what they see as unjustice, there is a responsibility that goes with that and these people mostly did not own up to it. It’s not realistic to think that you can occupy federal property, refuse lawful orders, and expect to dictate the terms under which you will wrap it up. THe same outcome today could have happened last night without all the drama and toll on those assisting them if they’d just given it up and not driven themselves into a (somewhat drug-induced?) frenzy.
If they want to change how the BLM works, then this isn’t the way to do it. As far as I can see the only thing they accomplished is to show Americans outside of their core group they are a bunch of nuts.
Not to make a joke but those FBI guys probably were happy to shout Hallelujah to get the guy to surrender so they could get out of the cold and go home. Of course not killing him was likely a disappointment.
The issue is property rights vs government force (in a nutshell), and perhaps the westerners are the last patriots willing to stand against a tyrannical government

I was told the same exact thing about 40 years ago regarding the millions of trespassers entering my country illegally while forcing Americans to pay for all of it.
They lied.
I want to say Thank you to Jesus also. I was praying for that poor soul. I didn’t want the FBI to kill him. I hope he gets the help he needs. And some rest.
It wasn’t just that he surrendered. He was holding a gun to his own head and talking in the most desperate terms for hours. He seemed to at one point welcome being blown away by the FBI. He is tired and completely goofy. It would have been so senseless.
Now he is safe and still alive.
