Crawford said she wasn't surprised at Cruz's apparent inconsistency on property rights issues. Plenty of Republicans struggled to pick a side - property rights or energy development - during her legal fight, which ended in 2014 when the Texas Supreme Court refused to take up her appeal of a lower court decision siding with TransCanada.

Cruz is all for eminent domain when it's his crony capitalist buddies project.

Or you can presume the “t” was a typo.

Why is it so hard for you to acknowledge you are wrong about the Keystone pipeline. It transports oil for a number of domestic oil producers so it clearly qualifies as a common carrier - end of story.

"...Cruz says if you like your property, you can keep your property!"

Great line. :)

If ‘building a wall’ or immigration was SO important to Cruz, why didn’t he bother to mention it in his announcement speech to run for president?

What the candidates talked about being of importance in their prez announcement speeches: http://freerepublic.com/focus/news/3395582/posts?page=136#136

Cruz’s entire speech was about ‘IMAGINATION’...

Cruz on Trade: Imagine instead of economic stagnation, booming economic growth.
(Not specifically ‘trade’, but as close as he got to it!)

Cruz on Immigration: Instead of the lawlessness and the president’s unconstitutional executive amnesty, imagine a president that finally, finally, finally secures the borders.
And imagine a legal immigration system that welcomes and celebrates those who come to achieve the American dream.

Cruz on 2nd amendment: Instead of a government that works to undermine our Second Amendment rights, that seeks to ban our ammunition..... imagine a federal government that protects the right to keep and bear arms of all law-abiding Americans.

Cruz on Terror, Isis, refugees, Middle East: Imagine a president who says “We will stand up and defeat radical Islamic terrorism...”
“... and we will call it by its name.”

THAT’s it!
But he mentioned CUBA FIVE TIMES!
“torture in Cuba, growing up in Cuba, he flees Cuba, free Cuba from the dictator,
Cuba was not at a peaceful time.”

I’m wrong? I’m just posting what the attorney arguing for the project stated. You’re disagreement is with her.

In the end it’s irrelevant to the topic because any number of privately owned business is one court ruling away from being claimed a national interest.

Bottom line. Cruz supports ED seizure of private property for not only a private company, but a FOREIGN private company.

Enjoy your day !

The pipeline will actually be used by a number of American oil companies which makes it a common carrier. As such, Cruz is actually intellectually consistent on this. Trump is consistent too, but his consistency in regard to eminent domain involves using eminent domain to line the pockets of private parties, such as himself.

And you have a nice day too.
