A Minnesota man has pleaded guilty to one count of conspiring to provide material support to the Islamic State group.
Twenty-year-old Abdirizak Mohamed Warsame entered his plea at a hearing Thursday in U.S. District Court.
Warsame admitted he tried to help other young men from Minnesota's Somali community with their plans to travel to Syria to fight for the Islamic State group.
Warsame also boasted of being able to take down a plane at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Warsame says he learned about the Islamic State group by watching videos on YouTube and listening to lectures. He faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced at a later date.

Feh...
Please stop by the FReepathon thread and ring the cash register or at least give it a bump.
He admitted it, bragged about it.
Throw him in a pigpen and shoot him.
>He faces up to 15 years in prison

And, it’s Minnesota. He’s not going to get anywhere near 15 years.
He should be sentenced to 15 years in a coffin, six feet down. Then, if he’s still alive, let him go.
“War’s - a - me”??
How apt.
There is coming a time when justice is gonna start getting administered properly again.
Real common name down in Little Mogadishu.
Here's what the creep should be facing:
One of many Somalis creating chaos here.
Immediately deport every member of his family not US citizens and cut off the rest from all welfare benefits. I would also increase scrutiny of the mosques he attended. In reality he will get a slap on the wrist instead of a long prison term.
He could get 15. I’m guessing he’ll get 2.
Isn’t this a federal charge?
U.S. District Court, from the story.
Should be Federal.
