Russia has every reason to want to destabilize Europe, as they are on the move to restoring their lost empire. The more screwed up these European countries are internally the easier they will be for Russia to eventually re-take. Certainly some of these European knucklehead leaders are contributing to the problem via their dopey/suicidal open door policies. Nevertheless, Russia is exploiting and contributing to the situation.
