Fun thread last night.

We played a LOT in Tampa in my rock and roll days, opening for Steppenwolf there at the convention center. The best picture ever of my band from the balcony got lost.

We recorded both our albums there in Tampa.

Sun Dome seats 10,000+, and can hold over 1,000 on the coral. So, this is bound to be another packed place.

This morning some were bragging about Cruz attracting a crowd of 2,000, which is huge by his standards.

Trump has at least another 4 big rallies scheduled in SC before the primary.

Latest poll has Trump leading Cruz by 17 points. There are reports of a big Trump GOTV effort in SC. His margin of victory will be as high or even higher than it was over Kasich in NH.

Trump expands his campaign in other states while the other candidates camp out in SC who are all way behind Trump sucking wind. ;-)

Tampa is a patchwork of people who mostly come from all over the rest of the country. You actually don’t get much southern accent in this area at all.

Bummed I can’t make the rally, the Sun Dome is only about 20 minutes away, but the missus and I have dinner plans we made months ago with old friends. If I knew I could get in, I’d be inclined to pull a veto and go, but I’m sure there will be lines into the parking lot, and my presence is completely inconsequential.

Yup. He is not skipping SC (like some skip states they cant win) but adding rallies in upcoming states in the same week he is doing rallies in SC.

High energy!

These early stops begin the ground game preparations. Those that attend are asked for contact info, etc. and identified as potential workers later in the campaign. Again, Trump plays chess, the also-rans play checkers (or tic tac toe, more likely).

At a big college. I wonder if any of the kids will attend who might be considering a Bernie vote. If so, I think Trump can “convert” them.

The FOX10 streaming has a GREAT pre-rally host - “Kinsey” - who is a yuge Trump fan and absolutely hilarious.

Before Trump came on, FOX10 lost their rally feed and Kinsey, quick as a whip, uttered “Black Hawk Down!”....guess you had to be there.

Good point about Tampa being largely a land of Yankee immigrants. I was thinking more of his time with the coon asses in Lousiana and the rednecks in SC.

For those who have never been to an GOP-e event, they tend to pack you in, wall you off and leave you standing there for 2 hrs while the candidate arrives.
Makes for a better presentation as if the place appears packed.
Romney did this in Denver in 2012.
You stood on one small space waiting for 2 hrs for a 20min pep-talk.

Trump draws enough so they all can be comfortable sitting.

Trump just promised no more profanity, perhaps someone posted the story, breaking news! As if this would be but some might find it of concern! Just saying people.
