Donald Trump gets double booed trashing Jeb Bush
The Week ^ | 2/13/16 | Jeva Lange

After Jeb Bush explained his policy for going after ISIS at the GOP presidential debate in South Carolina Saturday night, Donald Trump ripped into the former Florida governor - and was met with ferocious boos from the audience. "Jeb is so wrong, Jeb is absolutely so wrong," Trump said of Bush's call to dispose of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, only to get the audience hissing.

Trump wasn't put off. "You know who that is? That's Jeb's special interest and lobby talking," he said, drawing his second round of boos.

"I only tell the truth, lobbyists," Trump replied.

After spending a good part of yesterday watching WWII documentaries, I hear Trump say that we can’t fight two wars at the same time. WTF!

You know I was watching the debate and hearing the booing and applauding and then the cameras would show the audience and they looked like a bunch of stiffs. Did CBS or the RNC add in the booing? Maybe some speakers in the back of the room?

They need a standing rule at these debates that there shall be no booing or clapping.Very distracting. This is not a rally. It is a debate.

One would think with Trump so high in the polls the audience would reflect that popularity.

RNC fix is in, but it isn’t really working.

Yet.

How is a President Trump going to get anyone to work for him? He’ll have to choose among Democrats.

You know, especially in these last couple of “debates”, the crowd response thing has been out of control and inappropriate. Silence should be the rule here. I’m definitely not a Trump fan, but that sort of crowd reaction should be prohibited and offenders escorted from the arena. It stifles actual debate and reflects poorly on the party as a whole.

During WWII, the Allied forces maintained a holding action in the pacific Theater until the fall of Berlin.

I hear from active duty friends and family that we can no longer fight two wars at the same time, so Donald Trump isn't the only one saying it. Military downsizing by the thousands is continuing - especially in the Army - in 2016, so not only will the diminishment in capability continue (right on Obama's schedule), but all those ex-military who are let go before they reach retirement will be looking for work. . . and probably not at United Technologies/Carrier.

That was then, this is now. We mobilized over 14 MILLION men during WW2, now we can barely muster 1 million. A good portion of that 1 million are women, and many of the men are raised on “time out” with their stress cards, etc. We’ve grown a lot softer since the WW2 era. During WW 2 we were the arsenal of democracy, now we are a nation of burger flippers, shopping mall clerks, and people with Women’s Study, and African-American Studies degrees.

I thought Trump’s “she should be running for president” was a riot.

Trump’s right - at this point, we really can’t, for a litany of reasons, not the least of which is cash.

That women are being considered for combat duty is another. That they are put in a position to be captured by Iranian gunboats is probably another, even though its not a ‘combat’ position.

There’s a show my wife watches called ‘Below Deck’ that is a reality piece depicting what life is like in the crew of a luxury charter yacht. The captain hired this 89 pound hottie to be on the deck gang.

It was fun to hear from the other two male deckhands who had to grouse about her not being able to haul the large fenders, or how much difficulty they were having deploying the inflatable water slide.

As such, the debate rages, even in the charter yacht business.

Yup. The establishment flunkies who whine about Trumps behavior acted like a bunch of buffoons in the audience. Teenage girlie shrieks, rude booing..those were Jebs people while he cries about decorum.

These are not debates....they are inquisitions by demonRAT operatives looking to assassinate.

Yes you’re right about the audience though. These shoudl be done in a studio with just the cameraman and technical director.

Trump deserved it. He is the most obnoxious, rude, childish individual I’ve ever seen run for office. Good grief.

All the other candidates laid out policy plans in pretty good detail with the time alloted to them.....except Trump.

Same ol....were gonna win, win so big. It’s beautiful, wonderful, You’re a liar, I’m great. Me me me I I I.
