They really don`t run 1/4 mile anymore in Top Fuel.
1000 feet for TF.The top speed was inching toward 400mph.
They were right at the exploding limit
Ever see the exhaust with a green color to it.Thats
the copper head gasket being vaporized.
The clutch runs over 15K.

* Top Fuel engines turn approximately 540 revolutions from light to light! * Including the burnout, the engine must only survive 900 revolutions under load. Those two aren't right.
9500/60 = approx 158 Revolutions per second so probably off a little in a 4-1/2 second run *IF* they are at 9500 RPM all the way down. Amazing, as it sounds like MUCH more...

FYI
Harley Davidsons haven’t needed the oil pans and kitty litter for a couple of generations.
From a guy that has worked on Harleys for many many years, but never owned one. Just because they do not build what I want. They got kinda close with the Buells. But never completely crossed the threshold.
