The more I watch Marco Rubio, the less I like him

After watching yesterday's debate I finally came to a realization about Sen. Rubio- I don't like him very much.

Even from the start, when I supported him, there was just something about him that rubbed me the wrong way, but I couldn't put my finger on it. So I ignored that sense of unease and focused on his good qualities- his eloquence, ability to articulate conservative principles, and dedication to Christian and pro-life values.

But over time that initial sense of unease I had about him started to be vindicated. It was confirmed by various articles I read about him, like this one, and interviews of him I watched.

I wanted to believe he was ready to be president and that his lack of experience was more than made up for by his intelligence, knowledge of the issues, and character. More than anything, I tried to convince myself of these things because at the time I believed he was the most electable Republican candidate. I actually still believe that, but it's not nearly as clear-cut as it used to be for me.

I've gone from being curious about his campaign, to supporting Rubio for president, to questioning his readiness to lead, to abandoning him for Sen. Cruz, to now strongly disliking him as a candidate and as a person. Here are the events and reasons that caused me to reach this conclusion:

1)When Marco started calling Cruz a liar, it really bothered me, cause it seemed like he was so eager to use that word, and just casually tossed it out there like it didn't matter at all, like it was personal to him. Now he routinely uses that attack against Cruz, I assume

There seem to be only a few of us who still know what natural born citizen means.

Or who haven’t decided that since The Usurper was sworn in and their candidates are similarly ineligible, we’ll just go with the flow and gut the definition of the words.
That is not being faithful to the Constitution imho.

“translation: The establishment is back to Yeb again.”

If they ever left. It’s entirely possible that whole ‘Rubio is a tea party outsider’ push was a bait and switch fail.

Now, I support Cruz 110%...

You might want to take a look at this before making up your mind.

Jeb Bush would be as bad as Hitlery.

Like her, he is already a murderer.

“IS THERE A CANDIDATE THAT ACTUAL YWANTS TO MAINTAIN THE GREATNESS OF AMERICA?”

Donald Trump seems to. The others either don’t want to or couldn’t.

I came to the same conclusion as the author, although a bit sooner.

The deal killer for me is that Rubio is the functional equivalent of another wee Lindsey Graham, except dangerously less repugnant. Rubio is second to none as a globalist and chickenhawk. The epitome of the ideal NWO ethnic and libertine token.

I would add to that a palpable insincerity, but even so, a much better pick than Rubio, the governors or any Democrat.

I’m not happy to say that but it’s true.

I agree with you nine days out of ten. Then one of them will cruelly tease me by making some statesman like noise or other, then resume mad barking the next day.

I’ve come to the conclusion that voting is wrong. We’d be better served by a kind of conscription, where qualified people are dragooned into public service for a short time. I’d take average results of the repeated limited choices offered from a self selecting pool of charlatans, egomaniacs, sociopaths and control freaks.

Agreed. With hindsight, I fear that the last opportunity to prevent ultimate national dissolution or a totalitarian regime was Bush 2’s tenure, and he was inadequate for the challenge.

After watching yesterday's debate I finally came to a realization about Sen. Rubio- I don't like him very much.

If it took that long to dislike Rubio, after millions and millions of Americans who don't write politically came to that conclusion rather quickly, perhaps you are just not very good at this vocation of writing politically. The point of a pundit is to realize and communicate things before everyone else in America has grasped those things.

Voting is fine if we could return to one man, one vote. Have one election day and each person is responsible for getting themselves to the polls. These fraud elections won by dead people voting, senile people in nursing homes voting absentee and dragging uncivil minded people and illegal aliens to the polls to vote as a bloc has to be stopped and the people perpetrating this fraud arrested and convicted.

Rubio comes off to me like a used car salesman. You make a good point on his trail of betrayals. If rumors are correct, he’s betrayed his wife as well. But, then again so has the Donald.

I don’t have any use for windbags like Cruz and Rubio. I thought there were some conservative governors, but the media prefers to give free publicity to those in Washington even though we need an outsider to change the federal goverment.

I would rather have Carly, but with her and Carson out of the race Trump is the only non poliician left and I am tired of politicians.
