Free speech and enlightenment values are under attack in our universities. In the worthy name of defending the weak and marginalised, many student activists are now adopting the unworthy tactic of seeking to close down open debate. They want to censor people they disagree with. I am their latest victim. This is not quite the Star Chamber, but it is the same intolerant mentality. Student leader Fran Cowling has denounced me as racist and transphobic, even though Iâve supported every anti-racist and pro-transgender campaign during my 49 years of human rights work.

Oh No! Liberals are not supposed to call other liberals racist. Liberals are only supposed to call conservatives racist.
How does it feel?
And muslims aren’t supposed to kill muslims . . . but there you go.
This sounds like “blank-and-white thinking,” from the people who’ve been telling me that’s a bad thing all my life.
Its a world you created, Peter. I guess it was OK when the Star Chamber was persecuting those evil Christians.
Looks like someone didn’t study the history of the French Revolution in college because they too busy ‘advancing the cause’. No sympathy for Pete here, but I’ll save my laughter until the Muzzies teach their feminist supporters a lesson or two.
“Denounced”: where have I heard that word before...hmm?
It was always going to come to this.
You can’t have a movement, a social structure, built upon a foundation of different grievience groups that only have in common the fact that they have their own grievances.
Eventually, once they percieve that they’ve “won” against the larger society, they turn on each other in a fight for dominance and spoils.
But will there be enough of larger society left to be able to exploit the war that they are starting to fight against one another, and the resultant weaknesses?
If you lie in bed with a mangy, flea ridden, vicious dog don’t be surprised if you wake up with bubonic plague and a dog bite in your ass.
And the French revolutionists turned on their own. It’s a recurring theme in history. Bunch of Robespierre wannabes.
They deserve eachother.
“Ah,” said the scorpion, “You knew who I was before you took me on your back.”
Revolutions eat their own children.
Tough. You supported evil, and now evil is chewing your butt. It's actually funny, in a sick sort of way.
Buy popcorn futures.
That’s exactly what’s happening.
Btw, for something based at a university, you’d think the group that produced the poster would at least know that the phrase is “toe the line,” that is, put your toe against the line, rather than “tow the line,” which is meaningless.
But I guess they’re too busy counting their microagressions to bother with things like that.
Peter Tatchell’s “civil rights” work includes campaigning to lower the age of consent. IOW he’s a pedophile activist. His activism and writings are topics in pedophile chat forums.
You were just a tool. It was never, and is not now, about what you think it was/is. Destruction of the West...
Save the planet, Peter. Kill yourself.
