I wonder if President Obama would have attended the funeral of Justice Scalia if it were held in a Mosque? Very sad that he did not go!

Ok that’s hilarious.
Sad situation that a sitting president cannot take the time.
Of course, morning media spin lumped his visit, not to the funeral of course, into the thousands of people paying their respects. Anyone not knowing better would have assumed from the stock reports that Obama actually attended the services.

Frankly it not the President’s job to attend every funeral, That is what the VP is for.
Perhaps we should do some research on similar situations of past presidents to see what has happened. I imagine what we will find is that it is pretty subjective.

If you had lost your most precious loved, would you like to have Obama their at the funeral?
I am sure Scalia'a family is very happy that Obama decided to go golfing.
Every time Obama spoke at the State of the Union he took the chance to look his snarky nose down on the conservative justices.
There is no reason why the family should have to let him do that one last time.
