Well the only problem I can see with your reasoning, is that Reagan chose him again for the second term, didn’t he? He could’ve got someone else as V.P., but he chose Bush again! Not only that, he supported him as Pres. when Bush Sr. ran for the following election! Again, he could’ve chosen someone else, couldn’t he? He might’ve not been a big fan of GHWB the first time, but he must’ve learned to like him as time went on. R.Reagan seemed to be a self-made, practical man, and was gracious to GHWB. George Sr. said about Reagan once, that he couldn’t have had a nicer leader or employer than Reagan! He had only good things to say about him!
