Here are the SC exit polls Trump won broad support across all demographics. He was either first or second among almost all of them,

.... My main concern with the Trump popularity .... even with Democrats .... is that the Democrats may be orchestrating an Operation Chaos type of strategy which could change the metrics once the General election arrives.

.... I heard yesterday that there were complaints of large amounts of Latino voters taking advantage of the same day voter registration in mostly Caucasian districts in Nevada on the weekend .... It appears that they voted for Hillary. In other words .... the Democrats will stop at nothing to gain their ends ..... and it is becoming quite evident that this will be a literal "All Out War" type of an election. It is going to get nasty and dirty. I hope the Republicans are prepared for a very nasty fight. Like the saying goes .... All is fair in Love and War .... We are at war.

Maybe Trump chooses a non-politician like a former general or admiral.

“Sounds to me like Tick Tyler is butthurt because Cruz fired him, and is now getting other staffers to sabotage his campaign. The biggest thing Cruz will learn from this whole thing is who to trust and not trust.”

I have called Cruz’s campaign staff into question on numerous occasions. Is someone finally getting it?

I regard the Democrats as one group, and the independents as another. I think Trump got the lion's share of vote from both Democrats *AND* Independents.

But we can see what is the truth if someone would find the numbers of registered voters who voted, and categorize them by party. Someone will probably do it eventually.

Ted has a pretty narrow appeal - mostly on the staunchly conservative, Christian, Anglo, right. There's no buzz for him in any other quarters of the voting public.

It isn't Cruz's appeal that I expect would win him the election. It's the fact that Hillary is such a horrible witch, and has such an awful background, that once all her scandals start coming out, people will remember how much they hate her.

That's if she doesn't stroke out from apoplexy as she is being presented with her nasty past.

I’m with you. By manage, I was referring to the team being managed to do what the boss wants, not the team managing we the people.

I see no indication Cruz or Rubio would do a damn thing to reduce any government largesse, they are just politicians, and pretty much know nothing else, as I see it.

There’s a small chance Trump might be able to reduce government, though. Maybe, maybe not. He understands how to run a business, and bloated business is inefficient and expensive. He knows this. That’s why I see him as the least bad of the choices.

To reach the ranks of General/Admiral you need to be a politician. They play politics all the time.

I'd rather see actual registered voter numbers. Exit poles are voluntary, and may or may not reflect actual sentiment.

is that the Democrats may be orchestrating an Operation Chaos type of strategy which could change the metrics once the General election arrives.

Certainly not beneath the dems to do. But to pull it off, you'd need to get the message out to thousands upon thousands of people in a multitude of states. There would have to be some very open coordination going on to pull it off effectively. If there truly was an "operation chaos" going on, I believe we'd have heard about it. Complete with leaders, states, tactics, etc. I don't believe anybody could keep a coordinated effort involving perhaps hundreds of thousands a secret.

Rush's "operation chaos" involved his very public voice and his audience of millions. Can't recall its effectiveness specifically, but in my recollection it had very little affect.

And if we look back, Rush's "operation chaos" came to be because I think the republicans already had their nominee. So it was near meaningless for a republican to vote in the republican primary. The dems still have a very heated contest going on between Hillary and Bernie. I don't see quite as many people sacrificing their chance to have a voice in the outcome of the democrat nomination simply to elevate "the most beatable" republican to the fore.

Cruz is a Constitutional literalist. This means limiting government to its intended role.

Now, I'm sure some here would contend he's just lying when he says he's for limited government, but I hear no other candidate talking about reducing the size and scope of government. He is the only one.
