Sounds like Trump has given them some courage.
Kagen and Sotomayor are enough. The Kenyan had his chances and really ****ed them up. America has all the freaks on the court that we need.
Shunned.
They did not say shunned.
I heard this term used on a radio news.
Full press MSM psyop going on.
Shun is such a nasty term.
What did Trump do?
Trump and Mitch’s phone line burning with threatening calls.
The one thing that really does turn this thing around with all these threats is something I’ve never heard mentioned.
Who would accept the *- Nominated next to their name with the guarantee of no Senate hearings, no vote, no courtesy meetings with Senate leadership etc.
Okay, you’re in line for SVP Inside Council for a Fortune 10 company. The board is embroiled with the CEO saying no major changes will be approved until his/her resignation is submitted. What candidate who really does want that job once the next CEO is hired will run the risk of saying “Hire me under this controversy!”
The one thing that no one has uttered in any opinion piece or commentary on this issue is how many people won’t accept nomination under this condition and what kind of stool pigeon would actually take it thinking they had a shot?
Trump Doubles Down: Says Obama Would Have Gone to Scalia Funeral If It was Held in a Mosque

I saw where Chuck Schumer said that they need to do their job meaning hold hearings and vote.
He said it doesn’t matter what any Democrats said or did in the past when the shoe was on the other foot, and Democrats filibustered or threatened not to confirm Republican judges.
None of that matters said Chuck. It doesn’t matter what someone said or did in the past in similar circumstances.
Why? Because that was then and this is now.
There are no objective criteria on how to proceed. The rules to follow and criteria for the process depends on which way will help liberals and the Democrat party.
So in this case, liberalism is helped if the GOP Senate confirmed a Liberal judge to the Supreme Court. So, now the rules are the GOP should let Obama nominate someone and approve them.
But in the past, it was OK with Democrats to obstruct Republican presidents from getting nominees approved, because they didn’t want to see any more conservative judges in our courts.
Remember the criteria change depending on which criteria benefit liberals.
Trump must know where Uniparty bodies are buried. They should run scared.
Don't hold your breath it is only Tuesday.
Bttt
They had better hold the line on this.
It’s an election year . . . they have to play the game. It’s only for nine months - I think even this cowardly bunch can do that much.
Not really. I think this is padding for a brokered convention or something like that. Lets face it, they know they are going to have a problem getting their base to the polls. Just look how fractured and contemptuous we are here at Free Republic. With Scalia’s spot open, they have a big motivator to get their base out. I will admit, all those rinos I swore I would not vote for this time? I will seriously be rethinking that. John Roberts is a pretty crummy Justice, but at least we stand some chance of Constitutional muster with him.
You seriously underestimate the number of stool pigeons and toadies.
‘Bout time someone jammed a rod up their backsides.
Courage, courage, courage. There I said it three times if you did not get it the first time.
