So Romney makes a scurrilous charge and you defend him. You sound just like the kind of person the Washington D.C. Cartel is looking for.

IRS data on personal taxes are confidential, unless filer wants to disclose.

Hmmmmm... with his boldness on suspicions, does Mittens have some plants at the IRS digging?

There is no way Mitt Romney knows anything about Trump’s taxes unless someone was illegally snooping. He is making it all up and Trump will call his bluff.

I think what Romney did is highly actionable by Trump.

He started out wondering about the back tax returns for a few years for Trump, Cruz and Rubio.

At 4:25, he discuss a SPECIFIC problem with donations to veterans on only TRUMP’S tax return, then later mentions DISABLED veterans.

Romney thus was either shown the return in question or was told about it by someone who saw it. Otherwise, why mention such a specific area of taxes as the bombshell?

The problem is, these are both highly illegal actions, as tax returns are confidential unless released to the public by the taxpayer.

Romney then tried to cover his tracks a little, by saying we should see the returns for all three Rubio, Trump, and Cruz, but the cat was out of the bag already.

When Harry Reid schlonged Romney on his taxes in 2012, it was illegal and unethical, but Reid was protected because of his location—the well of the Senate—where speech is all protected.

Romney made his allegations in public over a national news network, which is highly actionable.

Trump’s legal staff knows what to do.

Romney will wish he kept his fat mouth shut.

Hi major-pelham,

I’ve got a farming client that files 43 tax returns every year. A few years ago we filed one that was 14 inches thick. But, they are all filed. As a result, they are readily available by electronic means on by rapid request.

Yours probably are too.

I would guess that Trump (and yes, even Cruz and Rubio) have tax preparers that can produce them almost instantaneously. But, they would have to be filed. If more time is necessary, then perhaps there wasn’t a filing.

The candidates were all asked last Fall. Specifically Trump said he would. Then, where are they?

When is Trump going to release his tax returns? Mitt held back on his too and was called out on it in the debates. Why is Trump being given a pass? He will get nailed on it in the general election debates if he gets there.

During the interview Romney was pushing for him to release back tax returns. Even pretty much gave him a pass on 2015 returns saying they should not be available until several months from now.

The only other place he may have gotten information is from people in vet organization that Trump has claimed to have given money to.

You are right, they should ALL release it. Not sure when they are supposed to do it, heck I thought they already did but I guess I was wrong. They should all release it to get it out of the way

You just nailed it.

If Trump was such a disaster in the making, the media would shut its collective mouth and LET the Republicans elect him...or maybe they’d have a bunch of puff pieces about what a great guy he is, how he’s so moderate that he can appeal across the divide to Dems, etc., etc. Trust me, they did EXACTLY that with McCain.

Their treatment of Trump says, loud and clear, that they are deathly afraid of him. Hildabitch is even starting to take out ads against him. They are afraid, very afraid - and it isn’t for the Republic, it is for their own worthless carcasses.

That is true, but how would the people in the vets organization know what Trump put on his tax return?

Romney's charge is specific to a tax document that has not been released by the taxpayer in question.

What torques me is this clown could not be bothered to fight Obama when it truly counted, for the sake of the country. But now, oh, he is just so concerned.
