Trump may surprise with VP pick.
It’s his style, unpredictable.
I predict nobody establishment, but he did say someone who is politically experienced.
How about Allen West?
I expect he will pick a fellow east coast liberal. Birds of a feather and all that.
Well, a few weeks ago he mentioned Scot Brown, so there you go.
I think we should make the VP pick a reality show. Get all the would be’s together, put them through tests. If they fail- YOU’RE FIRED!
Condoleezza Rice. Southerner, AA, solid mainstream R credentials, experienced in foreign policy.
Oh, and incidentally, female (almost forgot lol).
In fact, IMHO with Condoleezza on the ticket, Trump could stop campaigning and simply coast to an election victory.
Don't let the media and the talking heads let you think he has someone already picked, he doesn't, he has a race to win first, votes and delegates to gather, and the RNC Conventions isn't until July 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio...until then, I don't think anyone will know, except Trump...
Anything the GOPe; RINO base; ‘spineless sissies’ in the Senate and House; special interest group, super packs; U.S. Chamber of Commence; talking heads and media can fill your heads full of crap, they will....remember, only those people who are voting for Trump are the people that want Trump in the Oval Office, no one else does...
This is a lie.
Ventura as VP
Vince MaMahon as Chief of Staff
Don King as something or the other
I agree, and given what he said with Pat Robertson about having someone who knew the legislative process and could help get things through Congress quickly that he needs, that would favor Kasich. Either man would provide a contrasting personality type, which Trump would benefit from and both come from important swing states.
Trump has lots of executive expertise available, so I think his thinking is right on target in terms of getting a VP who can really expand his reach rather than someone more like him.
I was surprised the Bloomberg piece didn’t include his entire quote from CBN, as he was more specific on this than he has been previously.
If he picked today, it would be Rubio.
If he truly did flip-flop to being anti-amnesty, he would pick Cruz, Santorum or Sessions.
Yes, possibly Rice but she would not accept without a BUNCH of concessions on other cabinet members.
“Condoleezza Rice. Southerner, AA, solid mainstream R credentials, experienced in foreign policy.”
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I could live with Condoleezza Rice.
(Wait - that didn’t sound right...)
Kasich openly supported Gang of 8 style amnesty in the last debate. So if Trump picks him, he would’ve wasted no time in contradicting his signature popular position.
