Politico: RNC Wants to Move Trump Closer to Party Goals(memo to Priebus: you are wasting your time)

Republican party officials are reportedly hoping to nudge presidential front-runner Donald Trump toward party policy goals — and away from fiery rhetoric — by dangling access to crucial tools he'll need for a general election race.

Citing two unnamed sources, Politico reports Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus has started saying in private meetings the party has a trump card — voter data and field, digital and media operations typically inherited by a nominee. "It's a relationship," the RNC's chief strategist and communications director Sean Spicer tells Politico.

"Every nominee — it doesn't matter this cycle or last cycle — understands now that the role of parties is critical in terms of the manpower, the data, the press operation, the research. The bottom line is no nominee can win without the party."

Not everyone thinks the strategy will work.

"Does anybody have leverage over Donald Trump? Nope," a former RNC official tells Politico. "His own staff doesn't. No one can control him."

RE:”So if Trump gets the nominee and calls for Comprehensive Immigration Reform this will be the excuse made for his action?”
......
that will neuter him worse than a rusty knife if he did that.”

How about if he had Dreamers on stage with him at the convention?

And he introduces them?

Would that help?

All Trump needs is the GOPE to keep dissing him. The more they do it, the more people become resolved to vote for Trump.

Dear GOP-e: had you impeached the Great Pretender ( instead of protecting and enabling his anti-American, anti-christian, anti- Jewish agenda), we’d still be supporting you. But since you sold USA out, you can GTH!

RNC Wants to Move Trump Closer to Party Goals

Not necessary -

There are already two communists running as democrats to cover the Big-Gov end of the spectrum with Kasich on hot standby.

oh bull.

Lindsey Graham slipped up this morning and let us all know what the *real* RNC plan is: a full-amnesty ticket with Kasich/Rubio and they’ll ‘deal’ with Cruz if they have to (and probably Rubio as VP because they know that he doesn’t meet the qualifications to be seated as president but they’ll ‘fix’ that later I’m sure)

They’re all a bunch of sods and they can all go jump off a cliff.

Run the table, Trump!

I wish Trump would win the primary, then tell the GOP he is going to run on his own. Let the GOPe select Bush (or Rubio) as the their candidate.

I bet Trump would do better than Bush (or Rubio) by a wide margin.

Reince is going to have his Priebus handed to him on a platter by Trump before this is all over. It won’t be a pretty sight.

Is Trump the Next Ronald Reagan?

I know what you are thinking. Yeah, right. Donald Trump is far to brash and braggadocios to be the next Ronald Reagan. But before you do that think about how things have changed between Jimmy Carter and Barrack 0bama.

Can you picture Carter being interviewed by the Pimp with a Limp, or the Bathtub Cereal blogger GloZell or posing with a selfie stick in the Oval Office?

No, society is much less sophisticated and harder to shock than it was back in the Carter era.

By the same token, Trump is a bombastic version of Reagan or a Reagan for the new era.

In spite of the differences, policy-wise Carter and Obama were pretty similar.

Likewise, Reagan and Trump are similar regarding policies. Reagan was also a former Democrat until he saw the error of his ways.

I know I am asking for it from both Reagan supporters and everyone else so flame away!

“Likewise, Reagan and Trump are similar regarding policies. “

The huge diff in my mind is Reagan practiced his policies, while Donald has simply mouthed off about them.

Time will tell whether Trump practices what he says or whether it is a sales job.

They are either stupid or stoned if they don’t realize that after they’ve pushed two losers on us with McCain and Romney, the voters are not interested in any RINO doormat they are promoting-after nearly 8 years of losing our jobs, insurance, money, homes-and Obama’s JBTs in every aspect of our lives because of their worthless candidates, we are done marching to their tune.

...voter data and field, digital and media operations typically inherited by a nominee.

This sounds impressive but a little murky, undoubtedly as intended. Let's spell it out: what, specifically, do they want, and what, specifically, are they offering? Because it sounds a little to me as if they need the candidate more than the candidate needs them. That's not bargaining from a power position.

“Actually Trump holds all the cards.”

Which is exactly why Priebus and the rest appear either stoned or stupid-it is all right there in front of their faces-we are sick of them, we are pissed, and no one with a brain is listening to a word they say-they just refuse to see it. It is long past time to take them down and start over with a whole new crew that is intelligent and shrewd enough to actually listen to the voters.

Donald J. Trump just sent his RSVP - Thanks, but I’ve decided not to join your party. I have my own to host and intend to make it bigger, better, and greater than any panty-waist party you ever threw! BTW -what are the goals of this party? Are they really needing to be explained?
