On MSNBC's coverage of the South Carolina primary this evening, Chuck Todd actually said that if Hillary Clinton is charged with a misdemeanor concerning her emails, it will have "no impact" on her presidential prospects.

I think it will only impact the campaign if the vast right wing conspiracy that has always been against the good that is the Clinton legacy is allowed to subvert attention from the important things the voters should be focusing on in this election. Can you pardon someone who hasn’t been convicted? It’s now 8 months and a few days till the presidential election and a tad under 11 months ‘till the Inauguration.
Hard to imagine an indictment coming down, all the trial prep, motions, hearings, depositions, and trial could possibly be done that quickly. Unless they quickly charge her, and she pleads guilty to a lesser charge knowing POTUS will pardon her before leaving office.
Sadly the US is now every bit as corrupt as Mexico or the Philippines.

Really? So far, according to the “evidence”, Hillary has committed at LEAST 3 FELONIES.

This is THOUSANDS of years of felony penalties! Not only that it's going to gather in everyone around her; Huma, Mills, Sullivan, etc. If they were involved, it may gather in Bill and Chelsea as well, if they were involved in this crooked Foundation crookery.
I don't EXPECT this to happen of course. In the Unjust American legal system now, there are Special Rules for Special People. Having stolen 1400 highly classified documents and put them on the internet, how many of us would be walking around a year later so that it could be investigated? Not a one of us!!

There's a LOT of legal tangles here for Hillary!. But I fully expect Obama or the next President to pardon her.

No, he's almost certainly right about that. Of course, she's actually guilty of 1000's of felonies, i.e., thousands of counts of stolen government property, thousands of counts of destroyed government property, plus all of the felonies involving classified emails.
But, Todd may have inside information from Team Obama that they are only going to charge her with misdemeanors, thus she's going to get away with committing all of those crimes.
Among other things, I thought the statutes said that if convicted, they person is barred for life from holding any federal government post.

I particularly liked the part about pardons being granted because te person had atoned, or done his/her time ... AND/OR paid a helluva lotta $$$ or used influence. Mores are quite different from when the Constitution was drafted.
I doubt it would have any impact, and very little even if it were for felonies. The average Hillary voter is such a brain-dead Democrat parasite, they would not care about anything beyond their gravy train. Most would not even know it happened.
