I think Rubio’s on track to break that record in a couple weeks.
W carried it in ‘00 with 88% compared to McCain’s 7%.
Uh oh....celebrating to fast.
Can’t wait to see NY. Guarantee Trump does better then Cruz did in Texas. Lol.
Trump 2016!
So when your favorite sports team wins by 1 point/run it is not really a win? Trump logic. Bizarro world...
in before the cruzers with their hair on fire
He will hold it until the 16th
The percentage is not important, Texas owns Cruz!!!
So if Trump doesn’t get 50% in New York, will we see the same article for him?
It's actually very meaningful considering the 50% threshold for delegates. Had Cruz reached the 50%, the delegate count would look significantly different.
This is news when Hillary’s vote total in Texas was over 400,000 less than the number of votes she got in 2008?
The story of Super Tuesday should be the complete collapse of the Democrat party.
Not if he doesn’t win it
Stupid article. Cruz won his home state. Thats more than Algore could accomplish yet he came really close to winning in the November election.
LOL - like that could ever happen.
I agree. Rubes will get 20.
How many names were on the ballot in each of those previous races? There were thousands of votes cast in Texas for Jeb, Fiorina, Santorum, Christie, and even, embarrassingly, Linda Graham! The ballots were printed before they withdrew from the race. In a two person race, the totals would have been different.
“It’s actually very meaningful considering the 50% threshold for delegates. Had Cruz reached the 50%, the delegate count would look significantly different. “
And thankfully, he didn’t! Because in truth, Texas isn’t really “in love” with Teddy. It’s more in the nature of “going home at 2 with a “10,” and waking up at 10 with a “2!” Texas will vote Trump in the general election in a heartbeat.
Yep.
I’m not going to criticize Cruz’s wins yesterday.
He won those three states, and deserves to be congratulated for those wins.
What makes me mad about yesterday was Rubio winning anything.
I hate that punk.

Statistically, when did NY ever vote for a Republican for president? Since 1976, ONLY during the Reagan years did New York turn from blue to red in a presidential election! Not even the Texan Bush boys were able to take New York! And thus far, Cruz has failed to garner the support & votes of the Reagan democrats needed to take New York.
