Donald Trump Backs Out of CPAC
CNN ^ | 3/4/16 | Dana Bash & Tal Kopan

Posted on 03/04/2016 11:05:12 AM PST by KansasGirl

Washington (CNN)Donald Trump will no longer speak at the annual conservative confab CPAC this weekend, he announced Friday.

Trump was scheduled to speak at the annual gathering of the who's-who of the conservative world Saturday, but said he would be campaigning, instead.

In a statement, the Trump campaign said the GOP front-runner will instead attend rallies in Kansas and Florida.

"Because of this, he will not be able to speak at CPAC as he has done for many consecutive years," the campaign said. "Mr. Trump would like to thank Matt Schlapp and all of the executives at CPAC and looks forward to returning to next year, hopefully as president of the United States."

The American Conservative Union, the conference's organizers, said it was "disappointed."

"We are very disappointed Donald Trump has decided at the last minute to drop out of CPAC," the group said. "This comes at a critical time in our movement's history. His decision sends a clear message to grassroots conservatives."

But ACU said it remains "neutral" on the presidential race.

"CPAC is the heart and soul of the conservative movement and will be, with or without Mr. Trump," ACU said. "Since we invited him several months ago—and Mr. Trump accepted our invitation and terms —we made it clear all candidates would follow the same format. And now he is backing out."

You claim he’s never asked God for forgiveness. Here’s what he says:

“When I drink my little wine — which is about the only wine I drink — and have my little cracker, I guess that is a form of asking for forgiveness, and I do that as often as possible because I feel cleansed,” he said. “I think in terms of ‘let’s go on and let’s make it right.’”

He’s nuts. Waiting on a sign from Kolob. Over the edge. Whacked-out.

Did somebody get an audio clip of this? I haven’t checked the whole thread yet but I will to see if there’s a short clip.

He could also give back the money he screwed the young folks out of. You know the ones who had the misfortune to be conned into his not accredited “university,” too, don’t you think?

[Glenn Beck today about Trump

“If I was close enough and had a knife, the stabbing just wouldn’t stop.”]

HOLY COW. This lunatic needs a visit from the Secret Service TODAY.

He’s inciting, too.

When the dust settles, I hope you'll give Trump another look. You're committed to your candidate, and I can admire that. So I'm not getting in a pissing contest with you.

Regardless of this intramural battle, we have a real war waiting on us. We'll have to be united. I want you by my side. If it's fighting for Trump, fine. If it's fighting for Cruz, fine.

Got it. Cruz is pro gay marriage pro Atheists now since that is what the “Principled Conservatives” at CPAC support.

Good move DJT. These CPAC Vermin were setting a trap for you!!!! The GOP Establishment ie steering the ACU wheel. Just hearing the elitist vermin of the ACU speak out against Trump.....makes me puke!!! The GOP country club elite snobs & s cannot help Mr. Trump in the same loyal fashion that blue collar workers and ordinary folks can!! Screw......them......they count & care for nothing but their own power and greed!!!

It’s just like the book “Animal Farm”....at the end you could not tell the difference between the Humans (Republican Establishment), and the Pigs (Democrat Establishment) because they both, simply, had become the exact same thing!!!

You claim he bragged about extra-marital affairs. Not true, he only talked about experiences with women in a book written 20 years ago. An "experience" can mean many things, it doesn't have to be sex, and Trump doesn't claim it was. So what's he bragging about?

"If I told the real stories of my experiences with women, often seemingly very happily married and important women, this book would be a guaranteed best-seller."

Just like the forgiveness thing, you are being dishonest with your claims.

Trump would be a fool to subject himself to the certain abuse they had planned for him.

He'd also be a fool to participate in any more "debate" shows that are increasingly adopting the format once the sole dominion of the Jerry Springer show.

Interesting that no media pressure on either Beck or Cruz...

Rush never said a word. So far, neither has Sean nor do I expect him to.

If Trump needs to be here in Kansas then it must be close. Cruz is here today in Wichita and Rubio came two days ago to Wichita. Cruz was in Kansas City, Kansas Wednesday.

Beck gets crazier and crazier, And that’s a guy I defended just a few years ago. But now he is a nut and he ruined Cruz. All Beck’s zany attacks against Trump are being spouted now by unhinged Cruz.
