Did no one see THIS???

“Some national conservative leaders, including Bill Kristol of The Weekly Standard, are calling for a “third-party option,” in which an “independent Republican” would run against Trump. He’s floated the name of U.S. Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska, who has said he would not vote for Trump in November.

Others have formed a national committee to draft House Speaker Paul Ryan to run, though the Wisconsin Republican has said he’s not interested.”

What????

No. The corrupt career politicians are scared to death of him.
They will try to stop him by any means possible- and I mean ANY.
God, please protect Donald. America needs him

Agree completely. I'm a little torn, though. Cruz likely would have far more power, and for longer, as a member of the Supreme Court.

So, while I think he'd do a good job in office, I'm trying to think long-term, as well.

I agree that being on the SC for 35-40 years would be better than 8 years as VP, keep in mind that the latter would leave him in a perfect position to run for President in 2024...where he might appoint 2 or 3 Justices. That, combined with what would likely be significant input on Trump’s choice of ALL federal judges for 8 years, would make Cruz probably the single most influential person in American history regarding the make-up and direction of the Judiciary Branch (assuming, of course, that this scenario plays out).

Yup.

I like being in win-win situations. Everything that we've talked about, I'd call "Good", "Just Fine", or "Even Better".

A nice change from the past couple of decades: "Jeez, this guy stinks. But he's better than the alternative, so...."

Hopefully, the GOP won't screw this up. They have a knack for conceding defeat, when the path to victory is obvious.
