The blackmail theory of politics (held by yours truly and many others) states that special interests support politicians that they can control—forever—with blackmail info. Pedo histories are a significant tool in the blackmailer’s toolkit. Therefore, if you see big money there is a reasonable chance any candidate is a pedo.

If you had even remote thoughts of running for POTUS, you’d probably not use your autobiography to confirm that you have a pathological mental disease. If, however, you felt obligated to let people know that, then presumably you’d be sufficiently honorable to accept the fact that your admission would be discussed.

Carson, at any rate, has that degree of honor. He blames the press for twisting Trump’s words, rather than Trump for discussing the pathological disease.
