CNN just called Hawaii forTRUMP!
Time to strike up the Hawaii Five 0 theme song for Trump
You totally misread and misrepresented what the small print at the bottom says.
It doesn’t say that Trump doesn’t run the place.
Funnily enough, you made the same mistake the CBS journalists did in reading something that was not there at all.
He does run the place.
All of the employees at the hotel are his employees.

“he also has a management contract with the owner, so he’s the operator of the hotel. And it’s operated by Trump Hotel Collections, meaning that when an employee gets a paycheck, [it’s from] Trump Hotel Collections. He manages the property. He employs the people that work there.”
Trump won Hawaii, Mississippi, and Michigan, tonight. I cannot think of three states more different from each other. One thing we can say with certainty is that Trump’s appeal is broad.
Trump Wins Hawaii! Trump Wins Hawaii!! Trump Wins Hawaii!!
Awesome! 3 out of 4.
Great night! Next week Fl and Ohio and Trump seals the deal!
God willing!
Fox also calls Hawaii for Trump
HOO YEAH BABY!!! :)
I don’t assume he owns outright most of the properties with his name on them
3 out of 4 states! It has been a wonderful day.
~~Go Trump Go~~ ~~Go Trump Go~~ ~~Go Trump Go~~
Being known as a Republican in Hawaii definitely has costs. The last Republican gubernatorial candidate hasn’t been able to find a real job since the election.
I also went and voted for Trump tonight. First time I have ever voted in a Republican caucus here, although I technically have been a Republican Party member since 1976 (doesn’t mean anything because we have open primaries so there is no official record of what party you belong to).
Usually there is only one serious candidate and the winner is pretty much determined by the votes of the local old guard members, the party is so small, so traditionally nobody other than the hardcore members bother to go to the caucus.
It was packed tonight. The workers looked somewhat overwhelmed. I waited 45 minutes to get my ballot. I suspect, but do not know, that most like me were there to vote for Trump because they’re ticked off.
No. HI does not have a threshold.
Currently Rubio has 12% and one delegate as it stands.
Trump 11, Cruz 7.
Thanks for that link that clarifies that Trump’s corporation manages the hotel. The last paragraph adds to the confusion. Talks about Trump’s firm hires the people, but the financial responsibility lies with the owner - Irongate. Not sure how that works? I imagine it is fairly common though. I suppose if the hotel doesn’t make money it tells Trump’s firm to let people go, and hence the “financial responsibility” ultimately is up to the hotel. Seems like a parsing of words though. I wonder if the lawsuit has any merits?
“In another lawsuit — nine more buyers accused Irongate of fraud, worried that Trump could withdraw his name from the property. In its capacity as manager of the hotel, Trump’s corporation hires the people that work there, but the sole financial responsibility lies with the owner — Irongate and the investors. While Trump’s name is on the checks, it is not his money that goes to employing the workers at the hotel.”
Trump may be running on the Republican ticket but, the people see him as an ALTERNATIVE to EITHER of the parties, because of the things he says and stands for.
He’s using the same strategy Reagan did. You watch, if he gets the nomination, he’s going to play heavy to the blue-collar Democrats who have been totally screwed by Obama and the Democrat elite.
I’m convinced Trump has studied Reagan’s tactics in detail, including using his campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.”
I believe he’s been planning this for decades.
